[Remote results of alloplastic reconstruction of cruciform ligaments of the knee joint]. / Otdalennye rezul'taty alloplasticheskogo vosstanovleniia krestoograznykh sviazok kolennogo sustava

The results of plastic reconstruction of genicular crucial ligaments with a Lavsan implant are reported. The results obtained were estimated basing on the analysis of clinico-roentgenological findings in 120 patients within the terms from 1 to 12 years following surgical therapy. The issues of reconstruction of one of crucial ligaments are reported as well as the results of operations for the damage to several ligaments of the knee joint. The data obtained were assessed using the 2 mark system and in 94.6% the results were regarded as being favourable and satisfactory.

[Principles of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of occupational injuries in ballet dancers]. / Printsipy diagnostiki, lecheniia i profilaktiki professional'nykh travm u artistov baleta

In the paper, a 20-year experience with practice of the sport and ballet-trauma department at Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedy, named after N. N. Priorov, and 7-year activities of the medical-ballet dispensary at Bolshoi Theatre of the USSR on diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of occupational traumas in ballet-dancers are summarized. Some basic principles of diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis in occupational injuries in ballet-dancers are described. As a result of the employed prophylactic measures the incidence of trauma has fallen thrice as low.
