Review and contribution to the stoneflies (Insecta: Plecoptera) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, with new species and new records from South China.

Three new species of the genus Nemoura Latreille, 1796: Nemoura alticalcaneum Mo, Wang Li, sp. n., Nemoura ganeum Mo, Yang Li, sp. n. and Nemoura tauripitis Mo, Li Murnyi, sp. n., are described from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Eight new province records from Guangxi, two new province records from Guangdong and one new province record from Hunan are given, among them one new for China as well. The newly recorded species are depicted and complementary descriptions provided, including the first female description of seven species and first egg description of two species. The paper is completed with an updated checklist of Guangxi stoneflies, distribution of species richness across prefectural cities in Guangxi, with distribution maps for each species.

Review of the genus Cerconychia Klaplek, 1913 (Plecoptera: Styloperlidae), with description of C. multiseta sp. nov.

Species of the genus Cerconychia (Plecoptera: Pteronarcyoidea: Styloperlidae) are reviewed. A new species, C. multiseta sp. nov. is described from Cenwanglaoshan Mountain of western Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The new species is compared with related congeners. Complementary description or brief taxonomic comments are presented for C. brunnea Klaplek, 1913, C. flectospina Wu, 1962, C. livida Klaplek, 1913, C. sinensis Yang Yang, 1995 and C. trilobata Mo, Yao, Wang Li, 2019.

Two new species and three new provincial records of Neoperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from Nanling Mountains, China.

Two species of the genus Neoperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae) are described as new: Neoperla annulatispina Mo, Li Wang, sp. nov. from Guangdong and Neoperla similidelphina Mo, Li Muryi, sp. nov. from Guangxi. Distinctness of Neoperla annulatispina from morphologically similar Neoperla nigromarginata Li Zhang, 2014 was confirmed by comparing COI barcode sequences. Three additional Neoperla species are presented as new provincial records from the Nanling Mountains are given: Neoperla chebalinga Chen Du, 2016, Neoperla leigongshana Du Wang, 2007 and Neoperla maolanensis Yang Yang, 1993. Illustrations and color photographs are provided for each species, and the new species are compared to similar taxa. Distributions of Neoperla species recorded in the present study are also presented.

Two new species and four unknown larvae of Amphinemurinae (Plecoptera, Nemouridae) from southern China.

Two new nemourid species, Amphinemura meizhouensis sp. n. and A. tulipa sp. n., are described from Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, respectively. Four larvae of the stonefly subfamily Amphinemurinae, A. bifascia Mo, Wang, Yang Li, 2020, A. hamiornata Li Yang, 2008, A. yao Mo, Yang, Wang Li, 2017, and Indonemoura scalprata (Li Yang, 2007) are described and illustrated on the basis of recently collected specimens from southern China. The female adult of A. hamiornata is also described from the type locality. Both new species are typical members of the A. sinensis (Wu, 1926) species group and the taxonomic relationships are discussed with related congeners.

Two new species of the genus Flavoperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from Guangxi, China.

Two new species, Flavoperla retusata Mo, Li Wang, sp. nov. and F. yangi Mo, Li Muryi, sp. nov. are proposed from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. Distinctness of the new species is based on morphological characters and DNA sequence comparisons with their closest known relative, F. galerispina Mo, Wang Li, 2020. The taxonomic relationships of the two new species and related congeners are discussed.

Two new and one poorly known species of the Cryptoperla formosana species group (Plecoptera: Peltoperlidae) from China.

One poorly known and two new species of the Cryptoperla formosana species group from China, C. aculeata (Wu, 1973), C. bicornata sp. nov., and C. cunicidata sp. nov. are presented. Cryptoperla bicornata is the first record of the genus from Henan Province, while C. cunicidata is a new generic and family record for Guangdong Province. A complementary description of C. aculeata is given. Illustrations and color images are provided for each species and each is compared with related congeners of the C. formosana species group. A provisional key to the known species of the group is also presented.

One new species and one poorly known species of Neoperla in the montivaga group (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from Hainan Province, China.

One new species of the genus Neoperla in the montivaga species group, N. limushana sp. nov. is proposed from Hainan Province of southern China. The new species is compared with related congeners of the group. In addition, a supplementary description and illustrations of the adult male of N. hainanensis Yang Yang, 1995 also presented. A provisional key to the presently known species of the N. montivaga group of Hainan Province is also given.

Two new species and one new record of Neoperla (Plecoptera, Perlidae) from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Three species of the Neoperlamontivaga group are described from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, including two new species, N.falcatata sp. nov. and N.shangsiensis sp. nov., and a new record for Guangxi: N.bilineata Wu & Claassen, 1934. Illustrations and color images are provided for the three species mentioned above, and the new species is compared with related congeners in the group. Notes on the distribution of the Neoperla species known from Guangxi are also given.

Review of Phanoperla (Plecoptera, Perlidae) from China.

Three Chinese species of the genus Phanoperla are reviewed. A new species, P.cheni sp. nov., is proposed from Guangdong, southern China, and compared with related taxa. Neoperlopsbinodosa Wu, 1973 is confirmed from Hainan Province of China on the basis of re-examination of types from the island, but it is transferred to the genus Phanoperla and is placed as a synonym of P.pallipennis (Banks, 1938). A note on the distribution of the genus Phanoperla is also given.

Caroperla brevihamata (Plecoptera: Perlidae), a new stonefly species from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China.

A new species of the genus Caroperla Kohno, 1946, C. brevihamata Mo, Wang Li, sp. nov., is described from the Huaping National Nature Reserve of northeastern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern, China. The relationships based on morphological characteristics of the new species and related species are discussed.

The first record and a new species of the genus Hemacroneuria from Guangxi of China (Plecoptera: Perlidae).

A new species of Hemacroneuria Enderlein, 1909, H. trilobata sp. nov., is reported from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. This is the first record of Hemacroneuria from Guangxi. This new taxon is compared with related congener.

Two new species of the Amphinemura sinensis group (Plecoptera: Nemouridae) from southern China.

Two new species of the genus Amphinemura in the sinensis species group, A. retusilobata sp. n. and A. simifleurdelia sp. n. are proposed from Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, based on adults of both sexes. The new species are compared to related taxa and distribution map for the A. sinensis group is given.

The first record of the family Chloroperlidae (Plecoptera) from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, with description of a new species of Sweltsa Ricker, 1943.

The family Chloroperlidae is reported from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China for the first time with a description of a new species of the genus Sweltsa, S. bilobata sp. nov. The new species is compared to two similar species.

A new species of the Indonemoura fujianensis complex (Plecoptera: Nemouridae) from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China.

A new species of Nemouridae of the genus Indonemoura Baumann, Indonemoura maoershana sp. nov., is described from Maoershan National Natural Reserve in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China, and is recognized as member of the I. fujianensis complex. This new taxon is compared with similar congeners.

A new species and two new records of the Neoperla diehli subgroup of the N. montivaga group (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from China.

A new species of the Neoperla diehli subgroup of the montivaga group, N. curvilobata sp. nov., is described from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. The first country records for N. diehli Sivec, 1985 and N. hubleyi Stark Sivec, 2008 from China are given. Neoperla wui Yang Yang, 1990 is reported again from the type locality. Neoperla mesostyla Li Wang, 2013 (in Wang et al. 2013b) is placed as a synonym of N. wui. Illustrations and color images are provided for each species and the new species is compared with related congeners of the N. diehli subgroup. A provisional key to the known species of the N. diehli subgroup is also presented.

Review of the Oriental genus Neoperlops Banks, 1939 (Plecoptera: Perlidae).

A new species of the Oriental Perlidae genus Neoperlops Banks, 1939, Neoperlops triangulatus sp. nov. is described from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. Neoperlops gressitti Banks, 1939 is redescribed, and recorded from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for the first time. Neoperlops huanghuye (Chen, 2020) comb. n., recently described from Fujian Province from southeastern China, is transferred from Phanoperla Banks, 1938. The six species of the genus are classified in two groups of morphologically similar species.

A new species of Sphaeronemoura (Plecoptera: Nemouridae) from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China.

A new amphinemurine nemourid species, Sphaeronemoura acutispina sp. n. is reported from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China and is compared to its most similar congener.

A new species of Tyloperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from Guangxi, China, with a redescription of the male of T. sinensis Yang amp; Yang, 1993.

One new species of the genus Tyloperla Sivec Stark, 1988, T. bilobata sp. nov., is described from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. The new species is compared with related taxon. A redescription of the adult male of T. sinensis Yang Yang, 1993 is also presented.

A new species of Nemouridae, Nemoura cucurbitata sp. nov., is described from the Maoershan National Natural Reserve of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. This new taxon is compared with related congeners.

Two new species of Neoperla montivaga group (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China.

Two new stonefly species of the Neoperla montivaga species group, N. delphina sp. nov. and N. quadrispina sp. nov. are described from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China and compared with other taxa of the diehli subgroup.
