Therefore, the results of the resection will depend on the length and location of the resected segment, and on the age of the patient and the underlying disease that motivated the resection. The implementation of Nutritional Support after intestinal resection is the main stimulating factor for adaptation of the remnant bowel and is important to prevent hyponutrition. The relevance of this case is due to the fact that our 87 years old patient has a good nutritional status and good quality of life 10 years after resection was performed, his remnant bowel having adapted to physiological functions.
