RESUMO

The recent elevation of cases infected from novel COVID-19 has placed the human life in trepidation mode, especially for those suffering from comorbidities. Most of the studies in the last few months have undeniably raised concerns for hypertensive patients that face greater risk of fatality from COVID-19. Furthermore, one of the recent WHO reports has estimated a total of 1.13 billion people are at a risk of hypertension of which two-thirds live in low and middle income countries. The gradual escalation of the hypertension problem andthe sudden rise of COVID-19 cases have placed an increasingly higher number of human lives at risk in low and middle income countries. To lower the risk of hypertension, most physicians recommend drugs that have angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. However, prolonged use of such drugs is not recommended due to metabolic risks and the increase in the expression of ACE-II which could facilitate COVID-19 infection. In contrast, the intake of optimal macronutrients is one of the possible alternatives to naturally control hypertension. In the present study, a nontrivial feature selection and machine learning algorithm is adopted to intelligently predict the food-derived antihypertensive peptide. The proposed idea of the paper lies in reducing the computational power while retaining the performance of the support vector machine (SVM) by estimating the dominant pattern in the features space through feature filtering. The proposed feature filtering algorithm has reported a trade-off performance by reducing the chances of Type I error, which is desirable when recommending a dietary food to patients suffering from hypertension. The maximum achievable accuracy of the best performing SVM models through feature selection are 86.17% and 85.61%, respectively.

RESUMO

The objective of the present exploration is to examine the nanoliquid flow amid two horizontal infinite plates. The lower plate is stretchable and permeable. The uniqueness of the flow model is assimilated with the Hall effect, variable thermal conductivity, thermal radiation, and irregular heat source/sink. Transmission of mass is enhanced with the impression of chemical reaction incorporated with activation energy. Appropriate similarity transformation is applied to transform the formulated problem into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The numerical solution is obtained by employing MATLAB software function bvp4c. The dimensionless parameters are graphically illustrated and discussed for the involved profiles. An increasing behavior is exhibited by the temperature field on escalating the Brownian motion, thermophoresis parameter, variable thermal conductivity, and radiation parameter. For larger values of Schmidt number and chemical reaction parameter, the concentration profile deteriorates, while a reverse trend is seen for activation energy. The rate of heat transfer is strengthened at the lower wall on amplifying the Prandtl number. A comparative analysis of the present investigation with already published work is also added to substantiate the envisioned problem.

RESUMO

This investigation aims to explore the temperature-dependent variable characteristics of viscosity, and thermal conductivity with modified Fourier law in a nanofluid flow over a rotating disk. The uniqueness of the envisioned mathematical model is improved with the additional impacts of the chemical reaction, non-uniform source/sink, and convective boundaries. The salient feature of the existing problem is to discuss the whole scenario with liquid and gas thermo-physical characteristics. The graphical depiction is attained for arising pertinent parameter is attained by using Bvp4c a built-in MATLAB function. The visco-thermal conduct of the gases and liquids is examined by observing the mean flow and thermal distributions for the convectively heated disk. It is followed that liquid behaves more viscous with an increase in temperature in of the gas, but an opposing tendency can be seen for the liquid. The attained results are verified when compared with a published result.

RESUMO

The object of this paper to construct Dunkl type Szász operators via post-quantum calculus. We obtain some approximation results for these new operators and compute convergence of the operators by using the modulus of continuity. Furthermore, we obtain the rate of convergence of these operators for functions belonging to the Lipschitz class. We also study the bivariate version of these operators.

RESUMO

The study of infinite matrices is important in the theory of summability and in approximation. In particular, Toeplitz matrices or regular matrices and almost regular matrices have been very useful in this context. In this paper, we propose to use a more general matrix method to obtain necessary and sufficient conditions to sum the conjugate derived Fourier series.

RESUMO

In the present paper, we introduce the Chlodowsky variant of [Formula: see text] Bernstein-Stancu-Schurer operators which is a generalization of [Formula: see text] Bernstein-Stancu-Schurer operators. We also discuss its Korovkin-type approximation properties and rate of convergence.

RESUMO

Distance measures play a central role in evolving the clustering technique. Due to the rich mathematical background and natural implementation of [Formula: see text] distance measures, researchers were motivated to use them in almost every clustering process. Beside [Formula: see text] distance measures, there exist several distance measures. Sargent introduced a special type of distance measures [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] which is closely related to [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we generalized the Sargent sequence spaces through introduction of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] sequence spaces. Moreover, it is shown that both spaces are BK-spaces, and one is a dual of another. Further, we have clustered the two-moon dataset by using an induced [Formula: see text]-distance measure (induced by the Sargent sequence space [Formula: see text]) in the k-means clustering algorithm. The clustering result established the efficacy of replacing the Euclidean distance measure by the [Formula: see text]-distance measure in the k-means algorithm.

RESUMO

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a modification of q-Dunkl generalization of exponential functions. These types of operators enable better error estimation on the interval [Formula: see text] than the classical ones. We obtain some approximation results via a well-known Korovkin-type theorem and a weighted Korovkin-type theorem. Further, we obtain the rate of convergence of the operators for functions belonging to the Lipschitz class.

RESUMO

The aim of this paper is to introduce a new generalization of Bleimann-Butzer-Hahn operators by using [Formula: see text]-integers which is based on a continuously differentiable function µ on [Formula: see text]. We establish the Korovkin type approximation results and compute the degree of approximation by using the modulus of continuity. Moreover, we investigate the shape preserving properties of these operators.
