RESUMO

Experimental studies proved that ortho-chlorophenol intoxication is manifested by increased serum markers of cytolysis (alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase) and cholestasis (alkaline phosphatase), intensified lipid peroxidation, depressed activity of antioxidant enzymes (catalase), impaired liver functional state. Studies covered protective efficiency of succinate oxymethyluracil and referent medication mexidol for ortho-chlorophenol poisoning.

RESUMO

Actoprotecting properties ofbemitil, tietasol in combination with atropin were studied in red cell membranes and lipid peroxidation of rats poisoned with MI in a dose 320 mg/kg (0.9 LD50). Atropin treatment showed a low effect. The addition of bemitil and tietasol normalized electric charge and osmotic resistance in red cell membranes, activity of superoxide dismutase, catalase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and content of lipid peroxidation products--ketodienes and TBA-reacting products. Efficacy of the combined treatment is due primarily to noncholinergic mechanism of action of bemitil and tietasol--stimulation of endogenic antioxidant systems of erythron and antiradical activity (bemitil).

RESUMO

The authors studied protective efficiency of tietasol and oxymethyluracyl in experiments with animals exposed to 2,4-dichlorphenol and in real chlorphenol production. According to the results, oxymethyluracyl could be recommended to increase resistance against chemicals in occupational conditions.

RESUMO

In experimental study of antiulcerative activity of dibunol on various models of gastric ulcers in rats the drug caused a marked antiulcerative effect in all of them, reduced the incidence of ulcer formation, and shortened the time of ulcer healing. In a model of "acetic" ulcer dibunol oil solution led to quick normalization of lipid peroxidation in the gastric mucosa, which was evidence of high antioxidant activity in cases of ulcer lesions.

RESUMO

Lipid peroxidation processes and levels of oxidative metabolism enzymes succinate and lactate dehydrogenases, as well as morphometric parameters of cardiomyocytes were studied in rats after exposure to malathion. The efficacy of oxymethacil and atropin correction of postintoxication injuries to the myocardium was assessed. The new drug oxymethacil is recommended to be included in the treatment protocols during the first 48 h after grave poisoning with malathion.

RESUMO

The activity of lipid peroxidation (LP) of the brain and myocardium as well as the intensity of the body hypothermia during 30 days after a single introduction of poisons at a dose < D50 were studied on the models of induced toxicosis in rats due to two organophosphorus compounds (malathion and armin). It has been established that the maximums of diene conjugates and Schiff's bases accumulation in the rat organs poisoned with malathion and the intensity of hypothermic response on days 14 and 21 after intoxication coincided. The similar elevated lipid peroxidation was associated with esophageal hypothermia on day 14 after armin administration. Therefore, because of hypothermia, the influence of organophosphorus compounds on lipids of the rat brain and heart in the post-intoxication period may include the free radical ways of their peroxidation.
