RESUMO
A simple, efficient and convenient method for the preparation of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticle was described. Several parameters like size and morphology of the prepared nanoparticles were characterized thorough a variety of analytical techniques such as XRD, FT-IR, UV-Vis, SEM, and EDX. The prepared ZnO nanoparticles were successfully used as catalyst for the formylation of amino acid esters and biodiesel synthesis. Further, the synthesized formamide esters were well characterized through HRMS, 1H NMR and 13C NMR analysis and subjected for the in vitro antibacterial and antifungal tests and the results indicated that some of them showed promising activity against targeted bacterial pathogens.
RESUMO
Fmoc-Leu-ψ[CH2NCS] undergoes a reversible isomorphous phase transition upon cooling. The crystal structure at 100 K displays a short N=C=S···N=C=S intermolecular interaction, which has been characterized based on experimental charge density analysis, as a stabilizing interaction with both σ-holes and π-holes acting cooperatively.

Cyclosporin O (CyO), an immunosuppressent cyclic undecapeptide, was synthesized by convergent approach employing Bsmoc-Nmethyl amino acid fluorides and Potassium Salt of 7-Aza-1-hydroxybenzotriazole (KOAt) in solution by stepwise assembly. The couplings were found to be epimerisation free. The difficulty in the coupling of four consecutive N-methyl amino acids at position 8, 9, 10 and 11 was overcome by repeating the coupling thrice at these critical positions. All the ten protected peptide fragments of CyO starting from the dipeptide to the undecapeptide and final protected as well as CyO were isolated and fully characterized.
