We want to introduce the case of an 18 year old male patient who consulted us because of proctorrhage, straining and rectal tenesmus. Diagnosis was rectal tumor which pathological anatomy revealed an adenocarcinoma of cells in seal ring shape, suggesting a probable gastric origin. The high endoscopy evidenced multiple polyps, less than a centimeter wide found in the cardiac orifice, body and antrum, with the same histology. All these findings were confirmed during the exploratory laparotomy. We thought it was interesting to report this case because of the clinical presentation, unusual in this type of gastric cancer.

RESUMO
Con el objeto de utilizar los niveles de TSGO en el diagnostico de miocarditis difterica, se estudio la correlacion de las alteraciones ECG y TSGO en 118 ninos diftericos; 78% tuvieron alteraciones miocardicas y 22% no las tiveron. Este ultimo grupo sirvio de control. Se hallo correlacion directa entre las alteraciones ECG y niveles de TSGO, tanto en intensidad como en duracion. Se establecio que un valor de TSGO mayor de 60 unidades Karmen (UK) por ml, es diagnostico de miocarditis difterica con una confiabilidad de 92,5%

Con el objeto de adoptar un esquema terapeutico que disminuya la letalidad, el tiempo en dias transcurridos desde el inicio del tratamiento hasta que el neonato tolere sonda nasogastrica (Tsng) y succione (Tsucc), se evaluaron cuatro esquemas en 61 pacientes con tetanos neonatorum (TN) de IV y V grados de severidad. Las variables que los diferenciaron fueron las dosis y vias de administracion de antitoxina tetanica heterologa (ATS), y el uso de una o dos drogas sedantes-relajantes. Los esquemas utilizados fueron los siguientes: 1) 5,000 UI iv de ATS + Diazepan (D), 2) 10,000 UI im de ATS + D, 3) 5,000 UI iv de ATS + D-Clorpromazina (C), 4) 10,000 UI im de ATS + D-C. Se concluye que por costo-efecto, el mejor esquema fue el que utilizo 5,000 UI iv de ATS asociada al D
