RESUMO

2-[18F]fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) can provide tumor biological metabolism and skeletal muscle composition information. The aim of this study was to evaluate overall survival (OS) and short-term efficacy of cervical squamous cell carcinoma combining tumor biological metabolism and skeletal muscle composition parameters. Eighty two patients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma were included in the study, who received 18F-FDG PET/CT scans before treatment. Clinical characteristics, tumor biological metabolism parameters [standardized uptake value, metabolic tumor volume (MTV), total lesion glycolysis, heterogeneity of tumors, etc.] and body composition parameters were recorded. The survival analysis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients was performed by univariate and multivariate analysis. A combined model included clinical indicators, tumor metabolism parameters and sarcopenia was constructed to evaluate OS of patients. According to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumours version 1.1, the relationship between sarcopenia with tumor metabolism parameters and short-term efficacy was investigated in subgroup. The results indicate that sarcopenia and high value of the sum of MTV of lesions and metastases (MTVtotal) were poor prognostic factors in patients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma. The combination of sarcopenia, MTVtotal and clinical factors provided an improved prediction of OS especially in the long term after treatment. Nutritional status of the patients and tumor metabolism may not affect the short-term efficacy of chemoradiotherapy in cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients.

To improve the accuracy of early warning on coal spontaneous combustion (CSC), this paper, on the basis of the principle of preferential selection of index gases in CSC process, carries out fitting analysis of the variation curve of index gas data with coal temperature by combining logistic fitting model, then establishes a CSC graded warning system based on positive pressure beam tube monitoring, and determines CO, O2, φ(CO)/φ(O2), C2H4, C2H6, φ(C2H4)/φ(C2H6) as the index gases for predicting and forecasting CSC, and accurately divides the CSC process into seven levels of early warning: safe, gray, blue, yellow, orange, red, and black. Applying the CSC positive pressure beam tube monitoring system to Dongtan coal mine and analyzing the error by manual sampling and sampling by positive pressure beam tube system, we find that the error is less than 0.1%. Monitoring of several working faces, we get that the CO and CH4 concentrations of 14,320 working face are higher than the normal level at the beginning of mining, and the 100 × CO/ΔO2 value is higher than the gray warning threshold of 0.1, and the warning level is gray warning. After taking timely preventive measures against coal oxidation and warming, the CO and CH4 concentrations return to the normal level and the warning level drops to the safe level. This paper improves the monitoring, identifying and early warning capabilities of underground CSC in its early stage.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of Kinesin family member 3A (KIF3A) on primary cilia and myofibroblast differentiation during silicosis by regulating Sonic hedgehog (SHH) signalling. Methods: Changes in primary cilia during silicosis and myofibroblast differentiation were detected in silicotic patients, experimental silicotic rats, and a myofibroblast differentiation model induced by SiO2. We also explored the mechanisms underlying KIF3A regulation of Glioma-associated oncogene homologs (GLIs) involved in myofibroblast differentiation. Results: Primary cilia (marked by ARL13B and Ac-α-Tub) and ciliary-related proteins (IFT 88 and KIF3A) were increased initially and then decreased as silicosis progressed. Loss and shedding of primary cilia were also found during silicosis. Treatment of MRC-5 fibroblasts with silica and then transfection of KIF3A-siRNA blocked activation of SHH signalling, but increased GLI2FL as a transcriptional activator of SRF, and reduced the inhibitory effect of GLI3R on ACTA2. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that primary cilia are markedly altered during silicosis and the loss of KIF3A may promote myofibroblast differentiation induced by SiO2.
