RESUMO

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless power transfer (WPT) technology which employs multiple transmitter (TX) coils to simultaneously couple power to the receiver (RX) coil has proved to be an effective technique to enhance power transfer efficiency (PTE). Conventional MIMO-WPT systems rely on the phase-calculation method based on the phased-array beam steering concept to constructively combine the magnetic fields induced by the multiple TX coils at the RX coil. However, increasing the number and distance of the TX coils in an attempt to enhance the PTE tends to deteriorate the received signal at the RX coil. In this paper, a phase-calculation method is presented that enhances the PTE of the MIMO-WPT system. The proposed phase-calculation method considers the coupling between the coils and applies the phase and amplitude to calculate the coil control data. From the experimental results, the transfer efficiency is enhanced as a result of the transmission coefficient improvement from a minimum of 2 dB to a maximum of 10 dB for the proposed method as compared to the conventional one. By implementing the proposed phase-control MIMO-WPT, high-efficiency wireless charging is realizable wherever electronic devices are located in a specific space.

RESUMO

With the emergence of Dirac fermion physics in the field of condensed matter, magnetic quantum oscillations (MQOs) have been used to discern the topology of orbits in Dirac materials. However, many previous researchers have relied on the single-orbit Lifshitz-Kosevich (LK) formula, which overlooks the significant effect of degenerate orbits on MQOs. Since the single-orbit LK formula is valid for massless Dirac semimetals with small cyclotron masses, it is imperative to generalize the method applicable to a wide range of Dirac semimetals, whether massless or massive. This report demonstrates how spin-degenerate orbits affect the phases in MQOs of three-dimensional massive Dirac semimetal, NbSb2 With varying the direction of the magnetic field, an abrupt π phase shift is observed due to the interference between the spin-degenerate orbits. We investigate the effect of cyclotron mass on the π phase shift and verify its close relation to the phase from the Zeeman coupling. We find that the π phase shift occurs when the cyclotron mass is half of the electron mass, indicating the effective spin gyromagnetic ratio as g s = 2. Our approach is not only useful for analyzing MQOs of massless Dirac semimetals with a small cyclotron mass but also can be used for MQOs in massive Dirac materials with degenerate orbits, especially in topological materials with a sufficiently large cyclotron mass. Furthermore, this method provides a useful way to estimate the precise g s value of the material.

RESUMO

Fabrication of epitaxial FeSexTe1-x thin films using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) enables improving their superconducting transition temperature (T c) by more than ~40% than their bulk T c. Intriguingly, T c enhancement in FeSexTe1-x thin films has been observed on various substrates and with different Se content, x. To date, various mechanisms for T c enhancement have been reported, but they remain controversial in universally explaining the T c improvement in the FeSexTe1-x films. In this report, we demonstrate that the controversies over the mechanism of T c enhancement are due to the abnormal changes in the chalcogen ratio (Se:Te) during the film growth and that the previously reported T c enhancement in FeSe0.5Te0.5 thin films is caused by a remarkable increase of Se content. Although our FeSexTe1-x thin films were fabricated via PLD using a Fe0.94Se0.45Te0.55 target, the precisely measured composition indicates a Se-rich FeSexTe1-x (0.6 < x < 0.8) as ascertained through accurate compositional analysis by both wavelength dispersive spectroscopy (WDS) and Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS). We suggest that the origin of the abnormal composition change is the difference in the thermodynamic properties of ternary FeSexTe1-x, based on first principle calculations.
