RESUMO
Lateral sinus thrombosis is an infrequent complication of otitis media and mastoiditis in the antibiotic era. The review on this patient indicates that a high degree of suspicion is necessary to pursue the diagnosis of lateral sinus thrombosis because the most common clinical findings are similar to those seen in children with otitis media or mastoiditis. Headache was the most common symptom, which is not classic for otitis in children
