RESUMO

A new method of surgical treatment of decompensated duodenal stenosis, consisting of duodenoplasty with duodenal ulcer excision, segmentary resection of gastric corpus with preservation of pyloroantral portion and formation of fundocorporoantrumanastomosis on the whole opening, was presented. In 24 patients in late follow-up terms after the operation the rhythmical, portional evacuation of gastric content was observed, the ulcer recurrency was not noted.

RESUMO

The condition of the kinin system was studied in 89 patients with inflammatory and functional diseases of the colon. The relatedness has been revealed of the intestine microflora changes and of the blood kinin system activity to morphological changes in the colon mucosa.

RESUMO

The content of prostaglandins E(PGE) and prostaglandins F2 alpha (PGF2 alpha) was studied in 32 patients with different morphological forms of chronic gastritis at the stage of exacerbation before and after treatment. The PGE content was increased and the PGF2 alpha level was reduced. At the beginning of remission the PGE level was reduced. At the beginning of remission the PGE level decreased as compared with findings before the beginning of treatment while the content of PGF2 alpha did not show essential changes.

RESUMO

The biological (including carcinogenic) effect of an anthraquinone dye sulfoderivative--sulfotrinaphthylenfuran--was studied. The agent displayed low toxicity and cumulation in different species of experimental animals and germ cultures. However, a long-term intoxication by the agent led to tumor formation in the lungs of albino mice, following the pattern of focal reticulosis. The blastogenic effect of sulfotrinaphthylenfuran is suggested.

RESUMO

Histories of deliveries and development records of 44 newborns with penumopathies who had died on the first days of life in the presence of phenomena of the syndrome of respiratory disorder were analysed and the newborns' lungs were morphologically investigated. The investigation made it possible to single out the following forms of pneumopathy in newborns: edematous-hemorrhagic, hyaline, atelectatic, aspirated, and mixed. In the majority of cases the syndrome of respiratory disorder was a sequela of hypoxia of the intrauterine origin which continued during the first hours and days of life after birth. Such "primary asphyxia" may lead to the development of pneumopathy in a neonate. On the other hand, "secondary asphyxia" in many cases represent sequelae of penumopathy destructural and functional immaturity of the pulmonary tissue, hypoxia, a higher permeability of vessels of the microcirculatory bed, spasm of small pulmonary arteris contributed considerably to the development of penumopathies.
