RESUMO

Observation of over 97 postmyocardial infarction convalescents has ascertained that effectiveness of rehabilitation depends much on the function of stress-limiting systems (SLS) of the organism. The best treatment results were achieved in patients with strong SLS. Measurement of SLS indices is recommended in survivors of myocardial infarction on sanatorium treatment.

RESUMO

Effects of low-intensive infrared laser (890 nm) exposure on lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant system (AOS) activity in the membrane fraction of hepatocyte endoplasmatic reticulum (microsomal fraction of the liver) were studied in a physiologically balanced LPO/AOS system (intact animals) and under conditions of LPO initiation by immobilization cold stress (animals with erosions and ulcers of the gastric mucosa after Shay). Antioxidant effect in laser exposure of the liver depends on the frequency of pulses, is mediated by laser effect on hepatocyte membrane structures, and manifests by recovery of LPO/AOS system imbalance induced by disease.

RESUMO

The authors' rat experiments have shown that inhibition of pro-oxidant reactions in hepatocyte microsomal fraction in response to hepatic exposure to low-intensive IR-laser radiation and low-intensity ultrasound combines with multidirectional action of these factors on the basic enzymes of the other oxidant system of hepatocyte microsomes--cytochrome P-450-dependent monooxigenase system.

RESUMO

A study was made of physiological activity of a series of new bisquaternary compounds in which the role of cation heads is played by the residues of 2-amino-1,3-diazepinium. Studies performed on a frog neuromuscular preparation showed that the compounds under test effectively block the responses of the postsynaptic membrane to acetylchinoline. The derivatives of diazepinium have pronounced hypotensive and ganglion-blocking properties. Octamethylene-bis-(2-amino-1,3-diazepinium) iodide that appeared to be the most effective of the compounds under test compares very favourably with benzohexonium. It was found to be 1.5 times more powerful as regards the ganglion-blocking and hypotensive activity.
