RESUMO

The article presents an analysis of the work of the largest children's COVID-19 center in Moscow, organized on the basis of the Children's City Clinical Hospital named after Z. A. Bashlyaeva of the Moscow City Health Department. From March to November 2020 at the COVID-19 Center were hospitalized 2,837 patients with suspected/confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, in total in 2020 1,876 children with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 were treated, 58 (3%) children were in serious condition in the intensive care unit, of which children 11-18 years old were 25%. At the 2020 neonatal COVID-19 center, 215 newborns were observed with suspected COVID-19 diagnosis. The diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 18 children, while 8 newborns came from the home of COVID-19. In the Center for rehabilitation, where children aged 0 to 3 years old who were born with very low and extremely low body weight are observed, dispensary observation for children who have undergone COVID-19 is organized. 45 children who were observed fell ill with the new coronavirus infection. There were no deaths among children with COVID-19.

RESUMO

The article deals with the actual problem of modern treatment of infant hemangiomas. The accumulated 10-year experience of using propranolol in 512 patients has shown its effectiveness and safety. The team of authors developed a protocol for managing patients with infantile hemangiomas of various localization at all stages of treatment. Special attention was paid to the cardiological aspect of patient monitoring using modern methods of instrumental diagnostics. Due to the clear application of the created protocol with the use of ultrasound control, in most cases, it was possible to achieve complete cure of this pathology, minimize incidence of undesirable effects and avoid the formation of relapses (rebound effect). The effectiveness of the developed algorithm of diagnosis and treatment is confirmed by both clinical results and the results of instrumental examinations.

RESUMO

We examined 1734 children and adolescents with admittance diagnosis mitral valve prolapse (MVP) and confirmed its presence using accepted Framingham criteria in 32.3% of cases. Reason for overdiagnosis in other cases was incorrect interpretation of auscultation or echocardiography data. Most often MVP was familial with recessive or dominant inheritance according to genealogical analysis. Contrary to MVP in adults children and adolescents commonly had no myxomatous transformation of valves. Taking into account constitutional and physiological peculiarities of the body in children and adolescents we distinguished two forms of MVP characteristic for this age: MVP as a variant of asthenic constitution and physiological MVP. Both forms are widely spread and represent normal states for juvenile population.

RESUMO

Investigations performed in the region contaminated with heavy metal salts revealed high prevalence of renal diseases in children. The test for blood polymorphic proteins indicated signs of genetic predisposition to renal damage. Greater occurrence in the population with econephropathy of a rare allele of transferrin C3 may be the cause of enhanced oxidative-radical processes in renal cells. Individual sensitivity of children to heavy metal salts assessed by leukocytolysis and high incidence of somatic mutations to determine T-lymphocyte microclones deficient by HGPRT may help in specification of the affections detected in the regions contaminated with heavy metal salts.
