RESUMO

Aiming at the problem of luminance uniformity for injection electroluminescent display panels, we present a new sample compensation method based on column-control according to successive scans theory. On the basis of our ideas, a small part of pixels of each column are selected as samples, and the column gating time calculated by sample average luminance value of corresponding column is written in hardware program. We adopt the 64 × 32 LEDs display panel as an example to expound the compensation method and obtain good result that the reduction in amplitude of luminance non-uniformity is 65.42% for the sample area, 58.67% for the non-sample area and 60.21% for the entire display panel.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: With the advent of China's aging population and the popularization of smartphones, there is a huge demand for smart elderly care apps. Along with older adults and their dependents, medical staff also need to use a health management platform to manage the health of patients. However, the development of health apps and the large and growing app market pose a problem of declining quality; in fact, important differences can be observed between apps, and patients currently do not have adequate information and formal evidence to discriminate among them. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the cognition and usage status of smart elderly care apps among older individuals and medical staff in China. METHODS: From March 1, 2022, to March 30, 2022, we used the web survey tool Sojump to conduct snowball sampling through WeChat. The survey links were initially sent to communities in 23 representative major cities in China. We asked the medical staff of community clinics to post the survey link on their WeChat Moments. From April 1 to May 10, 2022, we contacted those who selected "Have used a smart elderly care app" in the questionnaire through WeChat for a request to participate in semistructured interviews. Participants provided informed consent in advance and interviews were scheduled. After the interviews, the audio recordings were transcribed into text and the emerging themes were analyzed and summarized. RESULTS: A total of 810 individuals participated in this study, 54.8% (n=444) of whom were medical staff, 33.1% (n=268) were older people, and the remaining participants were certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and community workers. Overall, 60.5% (490/810) of the participants had used a smart elderly care app on their smartphone. Among the 444 medical staff who participated in the study, the vast majority (n=313, 70.5%) had never used a smart elderly care app, although 34.7% of them recommended elderly care-related apps to patients. Among the 542 medical staff, CNAs, and community workers that completed the questionnaire, only 68 (12.6%) had used a smart elderly care app. We further interviewed 23 people about their feelings and opinions about smart elderly care apps. Three themes emerged with eight subthemes, including functional design, operation interface, and data security. CONCLUSIONS: In this survey, there was a huge difference in the usage rate and demand for smart elderly care apps by the participants. Respondents are mainly concerned with app function settings, interface simplicity, and data security.

RESUMO

Titanium alloys have become the material of choice for marine parts manufacturing due to their high specific strength and excellent resistance to seawater corrosion. However, it is still challenging for a single titanium alloy to meet the comprehensive specifications of a structural component. In this study, we have applied a molecular dynamics approach to simulate the aging phase transformation, K-TIG welding process, and mechanical properties of the TC4-TA17 (Ti6Al4V-Ti4Al2V) alloy. The results show that during the aging phase transformation process, changes in the structure of the titanium alloys are mainly manifested in the precipitation of a new phase from the sub-stable ß-phase, and after the state stabilization, the α-phase content reaches 45%. Moreover, during the melting and diffusion process of TC4-TA17, aluminum atoms near the interface diffuse, followed by titanium atoms, while relatively few vanadium atoms are involved in the diffusion. Finally, the results of tensile simulations of the TC4-TA17 alloy after welding showed that stress values can reach up to 9.07 GPa and that the mechanical properties of the alloy in the weld zone are better than those of the single alloys under the same conditions. This study will provide theoretical support for the optimization of process parameters for TC4-TA17 alloy welding.

RESUMO

In this paper, Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) and single-sided welding and double-sided forming have been used to weld the 7A05-T6/5A06-O dissimilar aluminum alloy circular welded joint of a ring-stiffened closed cylindrical sandwich shell. Microstructural characterization and mechanical properties of welded joints were investigated by use of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), backscatter electron diffraction (EBSD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), respectively. Hardness distribution and tensile properties of the welded joints were examined. The results showed the failure of the welded joints produced in the fusion zone (FZ). The tensile strength and yield strength of the welded joints were, respectively, 78.87% and 97.24% of the 5A06-O base metal (BM), and the elongation reached 84.29% of 7A05-T6 base metal. Welding high heat input led to the coarse grain size in the fusion zone, and the long-term similar quenching effect can lead to the full dissolution of the strengthening zone of the fusion zone resulting in the reductions of strength and hardness. Around 7A05 heat-affected zone (HAZ), there is an obvious hardening zone and softening zone, the solid solution precipitates into the Rayleigh brilliant η′ (MgZn2) phase, which results in natural aging strengthening, thus obtaining high hardness. η′ (MgZn2) enhanced phase dissolved fully and the dislocation density decreased rapidly in the HAZ region resulted in a softening zone with a lower hardness at about (10⁻18) mm from the center of the weld center.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Remifentanil, an ultra-short-acting opioid, is widely used for pain control during surgery. However, regular dose (RD) remifentanil exacerbates postoperative pain in a dose-dependent manner. Recent studies suggest that high-dose (HD) remifentanil offers sustained analgesia in experimental studies. We thus hypothesized that intraoperative administration of high-dose remifentanil may attenuate postoperative pain. METHODS: In this prospective, randomized, double blind, controlled clinical study, sixty patients undergoing thyroidectomy (18-60 years-of-age) received an intraoperative infusion of 0.2 (RD group) or 1.2 µg kg(-1) min(-1) (HD group) remifentanil during thyroidectomy. A visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to measure pain intensity. Mechanical pain threshold on the forearm was assessed using von Frey filaments before surgery (baseline), 2 h postoperatively and 18-24 h postoperatively. The primary outcome was to compare the difference of VAS score at different time points after operation and morphine consumption 24 h postoperatively between RD and HD groups. The second outcome was to compare the difference of mechanical pain thresholds in the forearm postoperatively between RD and the HD groups. RESULTS: VAS scores were lower 30 min postoperatively in the HD group (1.29 ± 1.67, 95% CI 0.64-1.94) compared with the RD group (2.21 ± 1.67, 95% CI 1.57-2.84) (t = 3.427, p = 0.0043, RD group vs. HD group). Postoperative morphine consumption was much lower in the HD group compared with the RD group (1.27 ± 1.88 mg vs. 0.35 ± 1.25 mg, p = 0.033). In both groups, mechanical pain threshold was decreased 18-24 h postoperatively (2.93 ± 0.209 Ln(g) vs. 3.454 ± 2.072 Ln(g), p = 0.032 in RD group; 2.910 ± 0.196 Ln(g) vs. 3.621 ± 0.198 Ln(g), p = 0.006 in HD group, 18-24 h postoperatively vs baseline). CONCLUSIONS: Intraoperative administration of high-dose remifentanil decreased VAS scores and morphine consumption postoperatively. Thus, modulation of intraoperative opiates may be a simple and effective method of postoperative pain management. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This trial is registered in ClinicalTrials.gov, with the Name: Effect of Higher Doses of Remifentanil on Postoperative Pain in Patients Undergoing Thyroidectomy, and ID number: NCT01761149.

RESUMO

In recent years, researchers have begun to pay more attention to the role of Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1, a class III histone deacetylase) in pain. However, little research has been conducted examining the involvement of SIRT1 in chronic morphine tolerance. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of spinal SIRT1 and acetyl-histone H3(Ac-H3) in chronic morphine tolerance in rats. Chronic morphine tolerance was induced by twice-daily intrathecal (i.t.) injections of morphine (10µg) for 6 days. Control rats received normal saline (NS). Resveratrol (Res, a SIRT1 stimulant, 30µg i.t.) or dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO, 10µl i.t.) was then injected on days 7-13. The thermal paw withdrawal threshold was assessed to determine the analgesic effects of morphine (10µg). qRT-PCR, western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expression of SIRT1 and global Ac-H3. Administration of morphine for 6 days induced a stabilized antinociceptive tolerance, down-regulated SIRT1 expression and up-regulated Ac-H3 expression in the spinal dorsal horn. Resveratrol treatment from day 7 to 13 increased SIRT1 expression, suppressed global Ac-H3 expression compared to the morphine tolerance (MT) group, and significantly reversed morphine antinociceptive tolerance. These results suggest that resveratrol reversed morphine tolerance by upregulating the expression of SIRT1 in the spinal dorsal horn. SIRT1 and global Ac-H3 in the spinal cord may play an important role in the mechanisms of chronic morphine tolerance.
