RESUMO

In experiments in albino rats, effects were studied of nitrobenzene and its chloro derivatives in intragastric administration with tocoferolum acetatum. Changes in the process of lipid peroxidation in blood serum, liver, and spleen which were characteristic of xenobiotics themselves have been shown to be less pronounced in this setting. Tocoferolum acetatum being administered at the same time is actively drawn into the metabolism. Normalization of the antioxidant activity of the tissues under investigation was to be observed, with lipid peroxidation and the antioxidant system being in equilibrium. Tocoferolum acetatum administered with xenobiotics has been shown to have a protective action. Tocoferolum acetatum is recommended to be included into diets for workers engaged in chemical industry on a prophylactic basis.

RESUMO

Nitrobenzene, o-nitrochlorobenzene and p-nitrochlorobenzene were studied in experiments with rats for their effect on intensity of lipid peroxidation (LPO), antioxidative activity (AOA), vitamin E content in the spleen and liver tissues as well as on certain hematological parameters of animals. These substances, when applied in acute experiments, deteriorate hematological parameters, intensify LPO in the spleen tissues. In this case AOA and vitamin E concentration grow. Subchronic action promotes stabilization of the studied parameters, which testifies to active adaptation of the organism to action of the above xenobiotics, as well as to high significance of the antioxidative homeostasis regulation system in the process.

RESUMO

The authors studied the rate of lipid peroxidation, antioxidative activity and content of vitamin E in the liver and spleen of rats given nitrobenzene, o-nitrochlorbenzene and p-nitrochlorbenezene. The xenobiotics increased LPO, antioxidative activity (AOA), splenic levels of vitamin E. The subchronic influence of the substances led to stabilization of LPO, changes in the activation of the body's adaptation. The AOA and vitamin E play an important role in the regulation of antioxidative homeostasis.

RESUMO

Mutagenic activity of inhaled dispersed orange 2K nitrodye (DON 2K) and Reax' disperser was evaluated. Chronically inhaled DON 2K (with disperser) in concentration 28.6 mg/m3 is a genetic danger for an individual and population, being also a selective by injurious++ to the red blood cells. Chronically inhaled Reax' disperser (25.7 and 5.8 mg/m3) shows low mutagenic activity in somatic tissue. Thus, the mutagenic effect of DON 2K with disperser (composition is constant) is explained by nitrodye and not a disperser.

RESUMO

The article contains experimental data on the morphofunctional state of gonads in male rats after chronic inhalation of diamine P, and on the state of embryogenesis after inhalant introduction of diamine P into pregnant rats in threshold-level concentrations. Results of the study revealed that, in chronic inhalant introduction at 29.3 and 4.2 mg/m3, diamine P demonstrated gonadotoxic properties, which was proved by the higher percentage of dead spermatozoa and spermatogonium diseases. The changes in the gonads' state reflected the pathological processes caused by diamine P in the animals due to the general toxicity properties of the substance. The embryotoxic effect of diamine P in inhalations at 5 mg/m3 (close to the threshold levels of total toxicity) was not statistically relevant.

RESUMO

The article contains a morphofunctional evaluation of spermatogenic epithelium state in rats after chronic inhalation of Orange-25 disperse azo dye. The result of the study revealed gonadotoxic effects at both concentration levels 28.5 mg/m3 and 5.6 mg/m3, which manifested themselves through violations in the spermatozoa functional states and changes in the seminiferous epithelium morphometric indices. Judging from the affection of the blood, the concentration 28.5 mg/m3 can be considered toxic, and 5.6 mg/m3 can be regarded liminal. Thus, the gonadotoxic effect was a secondary one, as in male rats in both groups, a hemotoxic effect was revealed at toxic and liminal dosage concentrations.
