[The risk of post-transfusion hemolytic complications in rhesus-positive patients and the ways of their prevention].

The minor antigen "c" of the rhesus system, which is revealed in population both in rhesus-negative and in rhesus-positive person with 80% frequency, is considered highly immunogenic, it causes severe hemolytic complications while hemotransfusion. In pregnant women it causes the immune conflict and, as a consequence, a hemolytic disease of newborn babies, demanding the treatment, using exchanging blood transfusion (erythrocytes). For the immune conflict prevention it is obligatory to determine the rhesus phenotype in donor and recipient as well as to investigate the presence of alloisoimmune antibodies in a recipient. In hemolytic disease of newborn baby the titer of antibodies towards erythrocytes in a parturient woman blood serum is obligatory estimated with individual matching of erythrocyte-containing media for the exchanging transfusion to newborn baby.

[Errors in the AB0-blood group determination as a cause of hemolytic complications after incompatible hemotransfusion].

According to literature data and results of own investigations there was established, that the causes of frequent mistakes occurrence while performing the blood investigation, causing hemolytic complications, are the blood groups antigens determination according to AB0 system using the direct method only, without isohemoagglutinins alpha, beta identification; constitutes the direct transduction of written information from medical and other documentation or immediately from the speaking patient.

It was shown that the most frequent HLA antigens among Kiev residents are: in the locus A--antigen A2 (36.33%), A1 (25.0%), in the locus B--B8 (20.33%), B13 (17.33%), in the locus C--CW4 (18.0%) and CW2 (12.33%). The frequency of B5 antigen decreased from 26.67 to 11.67% and B12 antigen from 30.33 to 10.67% for the last 10 years. These data may be used as a control for to study the association of histocompatibility antigen system with the human pathology and for the formation of risk groups at some diseases.

The immunoglobulins content was measured in blood serum of 233 individuals who took part in the elimination of effects of ChNPP breakdown. Distributive patterns of phenotypes, antigens and genes of HLA system depending on levels of Igs G, A and M have been studied. A positive association of some HLA antigens with concentration of immunoglobulins of certain isotypes was found out.

Distribution of HLA system leukocytic (tissue) antigens among the population of Carpathian genogeographic zone and among Ukrainian population of the native inhabitants of this region was studied, for the first time. The data characterizing the distribution, gene set and relationships of HLA antigens in A, B and C loci were obtained. It will be possible to discuss the distribution peculiarities of HLA system leukocytic antigens among the population of Carpathian zone after the work in all genogeographic zones of the Ukrainian SSR is completed and and the maps are published.
