[Fathers' imaginations during ultrasound scans in pregnancy]. / Imaginaire des pères lors des échographies de la grossesse.

Ante-natal consultations are major places of prevention, with regard to the psychological vulnerabilities of "becoming parents" specific to the pregnancy period. A study was carried out on future fathers and their impressions of ultrasound examinations. Men's impulsive ambivalence towards pregnancy is the main subject of this research, which shows how ultrasound scans are a place for exploring these impulsive movements of fathers.

[The drawing of ultrasound scan, an indicator of the quality of maternal representations]. / Le dessin d'échographie, un indicateur de la qualité des représentations maternelles.

Between 2012 and 2014, a study was carried out of women pregnant for the first time to find out more about their experience of the ultrasound scan. The drawing of the image of the ultrasound scan was the main methodological tool used in the study. It enables the quality of the perception of the ultrasound scan to be linked to the quality of maternal representations. Based on the context of the ultrasound scan, elements of prenatal prevention around parenthood are addressed.
