RESUMO

Different specific (immunological) and non-specific factors predisposing to protracted course of acute pneumonia were evaluated acute pneumonia and diagnostic errors. The course of pneumonia was protracted in 126 (48.9%) patients. Measures for prophylaxis of protracted course of pneumonia are described including increase of defensive forces of the body, biophysical and biochemical mechanisms of protection of the bronchopulmonary apparatus, removal of causes furthering slow resolution of the inflammatory process in the lungs.

RESUMO

The paper is a review of the literature data and original clinical experience on the contribution of pathomorphosis to current diagnosis of tuberculosis and nonspecific pulmonary diseases. the analysis of 1958 case histories elucidated relevant nosological composition of the lung lesions, frequency and causes of misdiagnosis. It is believed that pathomorphosis can noticeably facilitate differential diagnosis in lung diseases even at early outpatient stage.

RESUMO

The author investigated the frequency and character of side-effects to penicillin, levomycetin, tetracycline in the treatment of 92 patients with different forms of chronic bronchitis. Clinically all side-effects were subdivided in dysbacteriosis, allergic, toxic and mixed. It was established that the high incidence of side-effects furthers allergization of the body and potentiation of bronchial spasm. That is why the employment of antibiotics in these cases is not indicated. The low incidence of side-effect of antibiotics in purulent bronchitis requires their use under thorough medical surveillance.

RESUMO

Seventy-two patients with chronic bronchitis were examined and divided into 3 groups. Group I consisted of patients with chronic catarrhal bronchitis (CCB) group II of those with chronic purulent bronchitis (CPB), group III of subjects with bronchitis associated with purulent destructive pulmonary diseases. All the patients received combined treatment with decamethoxin as an antibacterial modality. It was found that decamethoxin promotes elimination of the infection of the bronchial secretion in 60% of chronic bronchitis suffers, the incidence of microorganisms resistent to several antibiotics reduced 2-fold. Local use of decamethoxin as an antibacterial and antiinflammatory drug in multimodality treatment of chronic purulent bronchitis proved highly effective.

RESUMO

The relationship between the antitryptic activity of the blood serum, bronchoalveolar secretion and ventilatory indices of the external respiration function in 85 patients with chronic bronchitis in the process of treatment is described. The above findings allow to recommend antibiotics for wide use only in exacerbations of purulent bronchitis while in other clinical variants reduction of drug loads result in increased therapeutic efficiency.
