PIP: The constantly increasing number of interruptions of pregnancy (IPs) forces consideration of both the healthful aspects and the social implications. A survey done on women who have had an IP showed that there is insufficient education about contraceptives. Reasons for IP are mostly social, e.g., among students the desire to finish their studies. Most of the time, women decide on the IP with the help of their partner. It is surprising that many students become pregnant with merely casual acquaintances.^ieng
