RESUMO

Rearrangement of ventilatory diffusion of gases in the end parts of bronchioles was detected by transcutaneous monitoring and capnography in 32 children aged 2 to 8 months afflicted with acute bronchiolitis. It consisted in a decrease of CO2 elimination from the alveolar air (to 2.8% against 4.5% in health) and in moderate deviations of O2 diffusion. Sessions of spontaneous respiration under positive pressure with O2 concentration not higher than 40 v% turned out the most effective therapeutic method to recover the deviations in question.

RESUMO

As many as 38 children aged 2 to 12 months suffering from acute pneumonia complicated by infectious-toxic shock manifested dilatation of the veins of portal circulation and deposition of a considerable blood volume, which was revealed by ultrasonic examination. The hemodynamic disorders were shown to play the leading part in the genesis of hepatomegaly, followed by hypoxic derangement of the hepatocyte. In infants, who are in a state of infectious-toxic shock, vascular decompensation of the liver is more pronounced and sets in earlier than parenchymatous. Administration of troxevasin (30 mg/kg a day) to the sick children promotes a more rapid elimination of venous dilatation in the system of portal circulation.

RESUMO

The authors provide the results of clinico-instrumental examinations of 120 neonates with myocardial pathology. Depending on the data obtained the clinical injuries to the myocardium were distributed into congenital myocarditis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathies and posthypoxic cardiopathies. Criteria for their diagnosis and treatment are described. The results of the follow-up studies of these children aged 6 months and 1 year are provided.
