RESUMO

PURPOSE: The purpose of this meta-analysis was to assess the effect of statins on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) related to coronary artery spasm (CAS) and to evaluate the effectiveness of statins in patients with CAS. METHODS: A systematic search of electronic databases, including Google Scholar, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and PubMed, was conducted. These studies were all published in English, and the databases were searched from inception to July 2021. All articles were evaluated independently by 2 researchers on the basis of inclusion and exclusion criteria. In the research, data about the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events in CAS patients undergoing statin therapy was included and divided into different subgroups. A random effects model was conducted to synthesize the data. FINDINGS: Five cohort studies were included in the analysis. These results indicated that statins failed to reduce the incidence of stroke in patients with CAS in general. However, subgroup analysis revealed that statins were more effective in improving outcomes for CAS patients without severe coronary stenosis compared with those with severe coronary stenosis. IMPLICATIONS: Statins may have a potential benefit in patients with CAS who do not have coronary stenosis. To investigate these findings further, future prospective, randomized controlled research will be required.

RESUMO

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is involved in both physiological and pathological processes. EMT plays an essential role in the invasion, migration and metastasis of tumours. Autophagy has been shown to regulate EMT in a variety of cancers but not in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Herein, we investigated whether autophagy also regulates EMT in HNSCC. Analyses of clinical data from three public databases revealed that higher expression of fibronectin-1 (FN1) correlated with poorer prognosis and higher tumour pathological grade in HNSCC. Data from SCC-25 cells demonstrated that rapamycin and Earle's balanced salt solution (EBSS) promoted autophagy, leading to increased FN1 degradation, while 3-methyladenine (3-MA), bafilomycin A1 (Baf A1) and chloroquine (CQ) inhibited autophagy, leading to decreased FN1 degradation. On the other hand, autophagic flux was blocked in BECN1 mutant HNSCC Cal-27 cells, and rapamycin did not promote autophagy in Cal-27 cells; also in addition, FN1 degradation was inhibited. Further, we identified FN1 degradation through the lysosome-dependent degradation pathway using the proteasome inhibitor MG132. Data from immunoprecipitation assays also showed that p62/SQSTM1 participated as an autophagy adapter in the autophagy-lysosome pathway of FN1 degradation. Finally, data from immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that the interaction between p62 and FN1 was abolished in p62 mutant MCF-7 and A2780 cell lines. These results indicate that autophagy significantly promotes the degradation of FN1. Collectively, our findings clearly suggest that FN1, as a marker of EMT, has adverse effects on HNSCC and elucidate the autophagy-lysosome degradation mechanism of FN1.

RESUMO

Objective To analyze the current medical equipment maintenance management model and the existing problems. Methods According to the law of reliability bathtub curve, the maintenance decision of medical equipments was analyzed from the three failure period stages, including early failure period, accidental failure period and loss failure period.By taking breathing machines as an example,a maintenance decision analysis during accidental failures was conducted. Results Medical equipment problems are caused by a variety of reasons, including operational problem, technical problem and management problem. The operational problem is caused by maintenance delays, lack of maintenance, and non-standard operations. The technical problem was caused by a wide variety of medical equipment and complex maintenance manuals. The management problem was caused by lacking of scientific management in equipment maintenance and updates. Conclusions For different stages of medical equipment, the impact factors are different and different maintenance strategies should be selected.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore the expression of CC chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6) in human adenoid cystic carcinoma tissue of salivary glands, and to clarify the mechanism of CCR6 in the nerve invasion of human adenoid cystic carcinoma. Methods:Immumohistochemical method (SP) was performed to detect the expression of CCR6 in 30 cases of cancer tissue of the patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma (including 18 cases in nerve invasion group and 12 cases in non-nerve invasion group) and 22 cases of normal salivary gland tissue. The relationship between the positive expression rate of CCR6 and the clinicopathological features of the patients were analyzed.Results:CCR6was positively expressed in 22 cases among 30 cases of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma tissue, and the positive expression rate was 73.33%.The immunohistochemical staining showed that CCR6 mainly expressed in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cancer cells. All of the 22 cases of normal salivary gland tissue were negative to CCR6expression;the difference of the positive expression rate of CCR6 between two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).The positive expression rate in nerve invasion group and non-nerve invasion group were 94.44%(17/18) and 41.67% (5/12),respectively;there was statistically significant between two groups (P<0.05).The positive rates of CCR6 in the patients with salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma with different ages, sex and pathological types had no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion:CCR6 plays an important role in the development of human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and is closely related to the nerve invasion.

RESUMO

Diabetes has become a global epidemic disease now. Its chronic progressive deterioration and the acuteand chronic complications affect the quality of the patients' lives seriously. The prevention and treatment of diabetes has become one of the research focuses in recent years. NLRP3 (NOD-like receptor family, pyrin domain containing 3) inflammasome can recognize the metabolic stress signals, and cause caspase-1 activation and interleukin-lp (IL-1p) production, and is closely related to diabetes development. The latest studies have shown that NLRP3 inflammasome will be a new potential target for the treatment of diabetes. This article reviews the activation and regulation of NL-RP3 inflammasome, and the effect of NLRP3 inflammasome on glucose metabolism and its targeted therapy in diabetes.

RESUMO

This study was aimed to assess the agreement between pulse pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation (StO2) by oximetry in trachea and the mixed venous oxygen saturation (SvO2) by fiberoptic pulmonary arterial catheter, and to evaluate the accuracy of StO2 monitoring during hypoxia. 10 mongred dog's were used. After anesthesia was induced and thorax was opened, we placed a fiberoptic pulmonary artery catheter directly through the dog's right ventricular outlet. Then, we placed and adjusted the trachea catheter, attached the oximetry probe to trachea carina till the high quality StO2 PPG signal was obtained, and till the readings were stable at about +/-2% from fiberoptic catheter. The pair readings of StO2 and SvO2 were recorded at every minute interval in 10 minutes when circulation was stable. Decreasing the inhaled oxygen concentration till the tongue's SpO2 decreased to 60%; recording the changes of StO2 and SvO2 in every 5% drop of tongue's SpO2 when the tongue's SpO2 decreased from 100% to 50%. The results showed that there was a good agreement between the two methods for pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation measurement. However, the difference between the two methods was great and unacceptable during the presence of hypoxia.
