RESUMO

The purpose of this work is to estimate the efficacy and safety of balanced two-segmental spinal-epidural anaesthesia (SEA) as well as application of this technique in conditions of extended operative delivery. The method has been used in 69 pregnant patients aged 23-42 years, with gestation period ranging from 36 to 40 weeks. It was found out that SEA is highly effective and safe technique, therefore it can be recommended as suitable method of anaesthesia in surgery with an extension possibility.

RESUMO

The article analyses the results of active treatment of pyoinflammatory diseases in 138 children by means of CO2-laser and ultrasonic cavitation. The control group was formed of 145 children who were treated by the commonly applied methods. The efficacy of surgical debridement was appraised according to the number of bacteria per g of tissues. Various methods of opening and treatment of the purulent cavity are compared. The differentiated use of the laser beam and ultrasonic cavitation depending on the character of the pathological process is substantiated. The schemes of ultrasonic cavitation with the use of various solutions and their combination depending on the phase of the wound process are shown. A combination of laser cleansing and ultrasonic cavitation is most rational. Complete epithelialization of the wound occurs 5-6 days earlier than in the control group.

RESUMO

The authors share their experience of the treatment of purulent injuries of joints in children with osteomyelitis. In 15 of 243 patients with hematogenic osteomyelitis there were injuries of the knee, humeral and elbow joints. The paracentetic method of treatment was used in 7 children, 8 children were subjected to closed continuous drainage and lavage of the articulation cavity with antibiotics with enzymes and antiseptics by an original technique with different combination of drainage tubes. The results of treatment followed during a year show the efficiency of the proposed method of treatment.
