RESUMO
We studied the effects of three various angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (enalapril, lisinopril and quinapril) on heart rhythm variability in anesthetized and immobilized rats. In all cases (except for quinapril in experiments on anesthetized animals), the preparations reduced the total rhythm variability and, according to spectrum analysis, increased activity of the parasympathetic autonomic nervous system to different degrees and decreased sympathetic tone. Quinapril and lisinopril produced the most pronounced influence on heart rhythm in anesthetized rats; enalapril was less potent in this respect. In immobilized animals, quinapril and enalapril showed the greatest activity and lisinopril the lowest. The more pronounced effect of quinapril both under anesthesia and during immobilization appears to be linked to the highest affinity of quinaprilat to circulatory and tissue compartments of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.

In patients with purulent peritonitis, the severe immunodepression and suppression of proliferative activity of stem elements of hemopoietic tissue stroma were revealed. The effectiveness of the use as an immunomodulator of the preparation "Antilympholin" which has the marked immunostimulating properties is shown.

Cultural, ultrastructural, cytochemical and histological investigations of bone marrow tissue were conducted in 26 patients with varying types of preleukemia states. A number of early structural, morphological and functional signs of hemopoietic disorders of different character and manifestation degree have been revealed. Particularly, a relationship has been established between the pathologic changes appearing in the bone marrow stroma and disorders in the morphological and functional state of the hemopoietic cells.

By means of a modified Howell semisolid medium it has been established that the relative content of committed stem cells of the myeloid clone in liver and spleen tissues of human fetus, aged between 18 and 24 weeks, is higher by five times than that in the bone marrow of adults. The methods worked out for making preparations of agar cultures and for their morphocytochemical staining may be used for the identification of grown cell elements; they are simple and reproducible.

Tests conducted with rabbits brought evidence that carbophos priming per os (1/25DL50 for 45 days) reduces the oxyhemoglobin dissociation rate, increases the ascorbic acid concentration in the blood and brain, of copper in the blood, brain and kidneys. Priming with a mixture of carbophos and polychloropinene (in a summary dose of 1/25DL50) was attended by a decline in the oxyhemoglobin, rising a concentration of ascorbic acid in the blood, of manganese in the kidneys and iron in the muscles. Changes in the oxyhemoglobin dissociation rate and ascorbic acid concentration were more significant after introduction of a mixture of pesticides.
