RESUMO

Metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is one of the most common chronic diseases characterized by increased fat accumulation in the liver and metabolic dysfunction. MAFLD is now taking on the character of a pandemic. In addition to dietary therapy and physical activity, hepatoprotectors are included in the pharmacotherapy of MAFLD. This study was to perform a comparative analysis of the efficacy of some hepatoprotectors in experimentally induced MAFLD in adult Wistar rats.

RESUMO

It was established that the administration of an aqueous solution of bis(µ-tartrato)di(µ-hydroxy) germanate (IV) triethanolammonium to animals daily for 2 months at a dose of the active substance of 10 mg/kg of the animal's weight leads to inhibition of the total activity of the alkaline phospholipase A2 of mononuclear cells. The results of the study can be used to correct lipid metabolism in the development of disorders in hyperlipidemia. This makes it possible to expand the scope of use of the studied substance and create new pharmaceuticals based on bis(µ-tartrato)di(µ-hydroxy) germanate (IV) triethanolammonium prevent and inhibit the development of hyperlipidemia.

RESUMO

Most clinicians consider duodenum ulcer as a psychosomatic disease. Objective: To show the interdependence of this condition and mental disorders and their relation to disturbances of melatonin production . Materials and Methods: 15 patients with seasonal DU and 15 healthy subjects of the control group were examined during 3 years using laboratory, endoscopic, and standard psychodiagnostic methods. Results. It was found that all patients with exacerbation of DU experienced enhanced anxiety, reduced background mood, and impaired quality of life based on general health and mental health scoring scales. The circadian rhythm of melatonin production was markedly distorted throughout the observation period but especially during exacerbations of the disease. Conclusions. The results indicate a high degree of correlation between DU and mental disorders caused by impaired production of melatonin. It suggests common etiological mechanisms of DU and psychosomatic symptom complex.

RESUMO

The review is focused on recent publications concerning examination of patients with gastroenterological pathology and the use of capsule endoscopy for diagnostics ofsmall bowel diseases. It is shown that radiological methods and enteroscopy are second line diagnostic tools while capsule endoscopy becomes the method ofchoice for the detection of latent gastrointestinal bleeding, tumours, Crohn's disease, and other enteropathies. The advantages of capsule enteroscopy include high effectiveness, atraumaticity, low frequency of complications and possibility to conduct studies without anesthesia. Much attention is given to indications and contraindicationsfor capsule endoscopy and methods of patient preparationfor this procedure.

RESUMO

The data on inhibition of the growth of microorganisms of a characteristic spectrum and antibiotic resistance isolated from long-term healing wounds by light of various wave ranges are presented. The growing cultures on blood agar were exposed to polarized light, red and infrared, ultraviolet of medium- and short-wave continuous modes accustomed in physiotherapy of wounds. The effect of light in some way induced inhibition of the growth, but complete recovery was stated only after the use of ultraviolet light when confirmed quantitatively in terms of the CFU.

RESUMO

Salivary and serum levels of lactoferrin and ferritin were measured in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and patients with other nonspecific respiratory diseases. Measurements of lactoferrin in biological media and particularly in the serum of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis proved to be a highly informative test for monitoring the disease course, i.e. for evaluation of inflammatory process activity. Ferritin level can serve as an indicator of tissue destruction during inflammation and of the course of rehabilitation processes.

RESUMO

Using morphologic, histochemical, histoenzymatic methods, the authors studied morphogenesis of acetate gastric ulcer in 40 rats subjected to chronic enteral intake of copper-containing pesticide-- copper sulphate. Structural and metabolic basis for perverted regeneration of mucosa near the ulcer under continuous enteral exposure to toxic factor, dose dependence in chronization of acute gastric ulcer were established for the first time.

RESUMO

There are different changes in psychophysiologic behavior of the students with different adaptation grade to examination stress. Examination stress in the students with a low adaptation grade resulted in increase of response against a background of reduction of attention. The lowest changes in the indications studied have been observed in a group of students with an average adaptation degree. They demonstrated a reduced attention due to tiredness after their examinations. Statistically significant changes of these parameters have been also observed in the students with a high adaptation grade both before and after examinations. The extreme indexes of the psychic adaptation grade did not manifest their stability that leads to some changes in the psycho-physiologic state of the students in stress situations.

RESUMO

The influence of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MMSC), got from allogenic bone marrow, on local radiation injury in rats after beta-irradiation by a source 90Sr/90Y in a dose 140 Gy under various conditions and ways transplantation was studied. It was established, that transplantation MMSC, allocated on biodegradative membranes, which have been carried out for 21 day after an irradiation in conditions minor surgical of ulcers, resulted in reduction of the area of local beam defeats and acceleration of healing of skin, in comparison with the control of an irradiation. The introduction of suspension MMSC subcutaneous around of the center of a defeat at 8 day after an irradiation caused earlier healing of ulcers. It was concluded, that application of MMSC is perspective for treatment of local radiation injury and necessity of development of optimum conditions of their use at cell therapy of radiation injury of skin.
