RESUMO

Hydrogen-bond-assisted azomethine ylides, generated from 2-(benzylamino)-2-(1,3-dioxo-1,3-dihydro-2H-inden-2-ylidene)acetonitriles, undergo a formal Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with ß-bromo-ß-nitrostyrenes to afford a diastereoselective synthesis of highly substituted pyrrolidin-2-ylidene derivatives. When ß-nitrostyrenes were used as the alkene component, 2-(4,5-diaryl-1,5-dihydro-2H-pyrrol-2-ylidene)-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-diones were obtained. Efficient conversion of pyrrolidene-2-ylidenes to the corresponding pyrrol-2-ylidenes takes place in refluxing 1-propanol in the presence of excess Et3N. Also, the structure of the pyrrolidene-2-ylidene derivative was determined by X-ray crystallography.

OBJECTIVE: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex multifactorial neuro-inflammatory disorder. This complexity arises from the evidence suggesting that MS is developed by interacting with environmental and genetic factors. This study aimed to evaluate the miR-106a, miR-125b, and miR330- expression levels in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients. The miRNAs' impact on TNFSF4 and Sp1 genes through the NF-кB/TNF-α signaling pathway was analyzed by measuring the expression levels in case and controls. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this in silico-experimental study, we evaluated the association of miR-106a, miR- 125b, and miR330- with TNFSF4 and SP1 gene expression levels in 60 RRMS patients and 30 healthy controls by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). RESULTS: The expression levels of miR-330, miR-106a, and miR125-b in blood samples of RRMS patients were predominantly reduced. The expression of TNFSF4 in patients demonstrated a significant enhancement, in contrast to the diminishing Sp1 gene expression level in controls. CONCLUSION: Our findings indicated an association between miR-106a and miR-330 and miR125-b expression and RRMS in our study population. Our data suggested that the miR106-a, miR125-b, and mir330- expression are correlated with TNFSF4 and Sp1 gene expression levels.

RESUMO

A molecular iodine-mediated synthesis of angular oxatriqinane core from 3-acetyl-2H-chromen-2-ones, ß-bromo-ß-nitrostyrenes, and pyridine in the presence of Et3N in MeCN containing a trace amount of water was developed. The reaction proceeds via intermolecular Michael reaction of 2-oxo-2-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)-1-(pyridin-1-ium-1-yl)ethan-1-ide with bromonitrostyrene followed by intramolecular Michael reaction and elimination steps. Evidence for the stereochemistry of a typical product is obtained from single-crystal X-ray analyses. The important feature of this strategy is the fact that it forms three stereogenic centers with good selectivity.

RESUMO

In this work, design, preparation and performance of magnetic cellulose/Ag nanobiocomposite as a recyclable and highly efficient heterogeneous nanocatalyst is described. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) curve, field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) image, energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis and thermogravimetric analysis/differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA) were used for the characterization. Then, its activity was investigated in the synthesis of 2-amino-6-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)-4-phenylnicotinonitrile derivatives. The main advantages of the reaction are high yields and short reaction times. The remarkable magnetic property of the nanobiocomposite catalyst provides easy separation from the reaction mixture by an external magnet without considerable loss of its catalytic activity.
