RESUMO
We report a case of a 39-year-old, HIV-negative, post renal transplant patient who developed mucocutaneous Kaposi's sarcoma with lung parenchymal involvement and concurrently culture proven pulmonary tuberculosis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report of this combination, which presented with cavitating lung nodules and responded well to withdrawal of immunosuppressive drugs beside antituberculous treatment.

RESUMO
Atherosclerosis and its complications are associated with high morbidity and mortality in the elderly. One of these complications is abdominal aortic aneurysm which may be prevented from rupturing if diagnosed early. Screening for aortic aneurysm was carried out in Jeddah, which is in the western region of Saudi Arabia, to identify the magnitude of this problem. Three groups were studied: patients with hypertension (n = 101), patients with peripheral vascular disease (n = 71) and a third group of a controls (n = 220). The mean (range) age of the whole sample was 66.0 (60-80) years. Evidence of aortic aneurysm was found in seven participants: five in the peripheral vascular disease group (7.0%), one in the hypertensive group (1.0%) and one in the controls (0.5%). In view of the expected increase in the elderly population of Saudi Arabia, as a result of improvements in health care which have recently been achieved, it is expected that a similar increase in the incidence of abdominal aortic aneurysm may occur. Routine screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm in the elderly, especially in those with peripheral vascular disease, may be worthwhile.

Between 1983 and 1989, 41 patients were admitted to King Fahad Hospital (KFH) in Al-Baha, Saudi Arabia with airgun injuries. Of the patients admitted, 83% were under 18 years of age. The majority of injuries (80.5%) were trivial. However, 19.5% had serious injuries that required major surgery. These injuries were considered potentially lethal. Public education via media will probably be effective in reducing the number of injuries caused by these weapons.
RESUMO
We herein describe a new technique to improve the ultrasonic imaging of nonobstructed stone-bearing kidneys. Mannitol-induced diuresis opens up the collapsed renal collecting system and yields better ultrasonographic imaging by increasing the amount of fluid surrounding the calculi. The potential usages of this technique include ultrasound localization for percutaneous stone extraction and during ultrasonographic monitoring of stones treated by extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (ESWL).

We report a case of a blind-ending branch of a duplicated ureter associated with obstruction and urolithiasis of the contra-lateral kidney. To our knowledge, this is the first report of such association. Review of the literature indicated that the former part of the association has been reported previously, although infrequently.

There are many reasons for what is apparently a benign renal cyst being hyperdense on computed tomography (CT). A previous intravascular contrast material injection (intravenous urogram or arteriogram) within one to three days is cited as one of the possible causes. This prospective study of 13 patients with renal cyst was designed to investigate such a possibility. None of the patients had a hyperdense renal cyst on delayed CT scan following contrast injection. We conclude that intravenous contrast material is not a cause of hyperdensity of a renal cyst on CT.
