An analysis of the clinical material evidences a sufficiently high efficiency of endarterectomy even in spread occlusions of the aorto-femoral segments of atherosclerotic etiology with the absence of atheromatosis and calcinosis of the arteries. Good and satisfactory immediate results were obtained in 89.4% of the patients, long-term results in 52.8% and with regard to reoperations--in 67.5% of the patients.

A method for mathematical evaluation and prognosis of severity of ischemia is described on the basis of analysis of ischemic disorders in injured extremities in 195 patients.

The authors analyze the remote results (from 1 year to 12 years) of the treatment of 173 patients with damaged main vessels. Good results were obtained in 111 patients, satisfactory--in 54 and bad results in 8 patients. The follow-up observation and analysis of the remote results revealed a group of patients who needed rehabilitation treatment. The complex of rehabilitation measures enabled 92,5% of patients to return to their working activity.
