RESUMO
El síndrome de Kartagener, entidad que pertenece a las discinesias ciliares, es de origen congénito, y es además hereditario. En él se destacan las infecciones respiratorias como síntoma principal. Presentamos el caso de un paciente masculino de 43 años de edad con antecedentes de bronquiectasias, e infecciones respiratorias recurrentes, historia de infertilidad y en el que se evidencia dextrocardia, bronquiectasias y sinusitis, estableciéndose así el diagnóstico de este síndrome de baja prevalencia en la población total. The Kartagener syndrome, an entity that belongs to the ciliary dyskinesias, is of congenital origin, and is also hereditary. It highlights respiratory infections as the main symptom. We present the case of a 43-year-old male patient with a history of bronchiectasis, recurrent respiratory infections, a history of infertility and evidence of dextrocardia, bronchiectasis and sinusitis, thus establishing the diagnosis of this syndrome of low prevalence in the population total.
