[Laparoschisis. Apropos of 6 cases]. / Laparosquisis. A propósito de seis casos.

We report on 6 laparoschisis treated in the last 5 years. Five patients survived whereas one died at the age of 41 days. We review clinical aspects of this malformation and point out the need for a prompt operation and an adequate nutritional management.

[Late presentation of pleuroperitoneal diaphragmatic hernias with intrathoracic gastric strangulation]. / Presentación tardía de hernias diafragmáticas pleuroperitoneales con estrangulación gástrica intratorácica.

Four cases of pleuroperitoneals diaphragmatic hernia are described. The onset in the four infants was intensive respiratory distress. In all patients the only herniated viscera was the stomach, that was found strangulated and dilated into the thoracic cavity. The foramen herniarium was located on the diaphragmatic cupula with a size between 2-3 cm.
