[Morphological changes in rat liver in toxic drug-induced hepatitis and stimulation of repair processes]. / Morfologicheskie izmeniia v pecheni krys pri toksicheskom medikamentoznom gepatite i stimuliatsii reparativnykh protsessov.

Despite a large choice of drugs used for the treatment of chronic liver diseases, they often give only a temporary positive effect. In this study the effect of ursodeoxycholic acid on liver regeneration was investigated using the animal model of toxic hepatitis induced by anticonvulsive drug depackin, which is employed in infant neurology. The results of the study demonstrate stimulatory effect of ursodeoxycholic acid on regeneration process in animals' damaged liver, therefore its use may be recommended for the complex treatment of patients with toxic liver lesions.

[Stimulation of hepatocyte proliferation in normal and pathologically altered liver exposed to a pulsed magnetic field]. / Stimuliatsiia proliferatsii gepatotsitov normal'noi i patologicheski izmenennoi pecheni vozdeistviem impul'snogo magnitnogo polia.

The stimulation effect of impulsive magnetic field produced on proliferation of hepatocytes of normal and pathologically changed liver was revealed on the model of the regenerating liver of white rats. In carrying out the stimulating effect the essential role belongs to sympathetic part of vegetative nervous system: mitosis is absent in chemical guanethidine desympathization. The stimulating effect of magnetic field was revealed on the proliferation of hepatocytes by introduction of phentolamine alpha-adrenoblocker.

[Optimal timing of radical surgery for tumors of the pancreaticoduodenal zone associated with jaundice]. / Optimal'nye sroki radikal'noi operatsii pri opukholiakh pankreatoduodenal'noi zony, soprovozhdaiushchikhsia zheltukhoi.

In cancer of the pancreatoduodenal zone complicated by obturative jaundice it is expedient to perform pancreatogastroduodenal resection in two steps: the first step is laparoscopic hepatocholecystostomy, the second step should be fulfilled 10-12 days after normalization of bilirubinemia. The data obtained were taken into consideration in pancreatogastroduodenal resection performed in 20 patients.
