RESUMO
En el año 2008, el Institut Català de la Salut implantó en los centros de atención primaria el plan de gestión de la patología aguda para profesionales de enfermería. En la puesta en marcha de este sistema organizativo desde el Institut Català de la Salut acordaron la realización de protocolos consensuados con algoritmos de actuación en distintas patologías. Con la finalidad de dar a conocer la práctica de la patología aguda en atención primaria se presenta un caso clínico. Consulta urgente de un varón de 30 años de edad por fiebre, dolor de garganta y tos, que gestiona y resuelve Enfermería. El objetivo de este nuevo plan es que la enfermería sea la primera asistencia del paciente que llega al centro de atención primaria sin visita programada, evitando saturar la consulta del médico y atendiendo a pacientes que en algunos casos habrían sido atendidos innecesariamente en los servicios de urgencias hospitalarias. Este nuevo sistema implica un aumento de las responsabilidades de enfermería en cuanto al diagnóstico y al tratamiento(AU)
Since 2008, the Institut Catala de la Salut (ICS) introduced the nurses management plan for acute pathology, in primary care centres. In the implementation of this system of organization, the ICS introduced various diseases protocols with performance algorithms. To raise awareness of the the practice of acute pathology, we present a clinical case. An urgent consultation of a 30 year-old male, with fever, sore throat and cough, which was managed and resolved by a nurse. The aim of this new management plan is that nursing is the first health professional to take care of patient coming to primary care centre without a scheduled visit, to avoid saturating the general clinic or hospital emergencies. This new organisational system involves an increase in the responsibilities of nursing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients(AU)
