The paper describes some therapeutic aspects of sodium chloride mineral water from the springs of Mirgorod (a balneological resort in Ukraine). Methodological approaches to the treatment of patients with most common visceral disease with bottled mineral Mirgorod water are outlined.

[Validation of the early health-resort rehabilitation of patients who have undergone a cholecystectomy]. / Obosnovanie rannei kurortnoi reabilitastsii bol'nykh, perenesshikh kholetsistéktomiiu.

The paper addresses the issue of expediency of early sanatorium treatment of patients with prior cholecystectomy; indications and contraindications are determined as are optimal terms for refferring such patients to specialized departments of gastroenterologic sanatoria in Ukraine. Impact of sanatorium treatment on functional state of the liver and immune system in early periods after cholecystectomy was studied.

[The differentiated use of mitigating mud therapy in the early convalescent period of viral hepatitis]. / Differentsirovannoe primenenie mitigirovannogo griazelecheniia v rannem periode rekonvalestsentsii virusnogo gepatita.

Two new techniques of mitigatory pelotherapy using mud applications to paravertebral area and acupuncture were compared for 152 viral hepatitis convalescents. The efficacy of the treatment was shown by a wide spectrum of hepatic functional and immunologic reactivity indications.

[Status of the duodenum in the early period of convalescence in viral hepatitis]. / Sostoianie dvenadtsatiperstnoi kishki v rannem periode rekonvalestsentsii pri virusnom gepatite.

The results of study of the clinical picture of residual phenomena of virus hepatitis are presented as well as the data of intragastroduodenal pH-metry, gastric and duodenal endoscopy, morphological, histochemical and morphometric study of the duodenal biopsy specimens in 277 virus hepatitis convalescents. On the extensive material it has been proved that gastroduodenal system is actively involved in the pathological process during an early recovery period. The revealed changes have unidirectional pattern and reflect the preulcerous status.
