RESUMO

The authors present materials on hygienic regulation of such synthetic detergents as "Losk", "Dixan" in air of workplace and populated area, demonstrate results concerning evaluation of "Losk" effects. Discussion covers ways to evaluate chemical load caused by simultaneous emission of synthetic detergents from various environmental objects. For testing reliability of hygienic regulation for complex emission exemplified by "Losk", the authors suggest a model for express evaluation of complex exposure to chemicals.

RESUMO

Experiments on animals were conducted to study influence of following household chemical components included into synthetic washing and cleaning mixtures: anion-active surface active substances, protease Blap 200 G, Savinase 4.OT, Purafect 200 G, alkaline proteinase made in Russia, an aromatic "Magic blue". Surface active substances included into synthetic washing and cleaning mixtures were proved to increase biologic activity of chemical components of the mixtures. Powdered anion-active surface active substances, unlike liquid and paste-like ones, require hygienic regulation in air. All new components of synthetic washing and cleaning mixtures should undergo toxicologic and hygienic examination, and require studies on hygienic regulation, if found in concentrations hazardous for health.

RESUMO

The article represents experimental data on influence of impulse modulated microwave irradiation with discontinuous effects varying in intensity and exposure. Becavior, peripheral blood, biochemical and morphologic parameters were assessed in the laboratory animals exposed. The response appeared to correlate with individual and typologic features of the examinees.

RESUMO

Studied were the new components of dielectric coatings: di-para-xylilene, di-bromine-di-para-xylilene, dichlor-di-para-xylilene, which manifested themselves as low-toxicity compounds free from irritating, sensitizing and fibrogenous effects. The acute action thresholds for aerosols of the paraxylilenes were established at 10 mg/m3 (with regard to general and embryotoxicity), at 5 mg/m3 for the maximal inactive concentrations.

RESUMO

Peculiarities in the response of male rats of various typological (e.g. high- and low-entropy) groups to the effect of electromagnetic radiation of high and superhigh frequencies have been investigated. Radiation intensity was 500 microW/cm2 and 500 V/m respectively. Animals of different entropy groups exhibited variations in the radiation response of their CNS and endocrine system as well as in the state of their offspring during the antenatal development.

RESUMO

A quantitative biochemical study of patterns of energy and lysosomic enzymes in cellular elements of the rabbit aorta under induced atherosclerosis showed these enzymes to be activated during earlier atherogenetic stages associated with the formation of atherosclerotic patches in the intima, an evidence of functional adaptation of the aortal wall building up the defence mechanisms against adversary effects of cholesterol and other lipids. Once marked atherosclerotic patches have been formed in the aorta, adaptive potentials of enzyme systems are exhausted and further changes in their activity can result in processes conducive to the development of experimental atherosclerosis.

RESUMO

Immature male rats were overfed for a long time with an excess of fats or carbohydrates; this caused obesity. Carbohydrate overfeeding led to a greater body weight gain and a greater increase in the weight of epididymal fat and of the adipose cell volume than fat overfeeding, but failed to decrease the lipolytic activity of the aorta. Prolonged fat overfeeding decreased the lipolytic activity of the aorta considerably. Thus, the results of the mentioned experiments showed that the predisposition of the aortic wall to atherogenesis did not correlate with the gain in weight and depended on the character of nutrition.
