Precision blackbody sources for radiometric standards.

The precision blackbody sources developed at the All-Russian Institute for Optical and Physical Measurements (Moscow, Russia) and their characteristics are analyzed. The precision high-temperature graphite blackbody BB22p, large-area high-temperature pyrolytic graphite blackbody BB3200pg, middle-temperature graphite blackbody BB2000, low-temperature blackbody BB300, and gallium fixed-point blackbody BB29gl and their characteristics are described.

The cytologic method for the assessment of spermatogenesis disorders is based on the examination of the testicular biopsy specimen smears-impressions; it permits a qualitative and quantitative estimation of spermatogenous epithelial cells. The investigation is made on the day of the operation, this essentially accelerating the diagnosis of this abnormality. Spermatogenesis cessation or inhibition is determined on the cytogram at the level of the most 'mature' population of the germinative epithelium.

[Puncture scrotostomy--a treatment method in acute inflammatory diseases of the scrotal organs]. / Punktsionnaia skrotostomiia--sposob lecheniia ostrykh vospalitel'nykh zabolevanii organov moshonki.

A method for the treatment of acute inflammatory diseases of the scrotal organs by means of puncture scrotostomy, which consists in passing the indwelling micro-irrigator into a cavity of the serous sheath of the testis and epididymis and administration via this route of antibacterial and resolving preparations for 4-5 days, is suggested. A method approved in treatment of 45 patients permits to avoid surgical intervention, and is highly effective.
