RESUMO
Spindle cell carcinoma is a low-grade pleomorphic tumor. It is often found in soft tissues and rarely occurs in the oral and maxillofacial region. The lower lip, tongue and gum are the commonly involved sites, while very few occur in the maxillary sinus. The paper reported a case with spindle cell carcinoma of the maxillary sinus. The clinical manifestation, diagnosis and treatment were reviewed. Surgery is the mainstay for the treatment of this disease.
