RESUMO

Zr55.7Cu22.4Ni7.2Al14.7 alloy bars were prepared by copper mold suction casting, and the structure and thermodynamic properties of the prepared specimens were characterized by X-ray diffractometer and differential scanning calorimeter. Furthermore, isothermal crystallization mechanism and crystallization activation energy were investigated by Johnson-Mehl-Avrami model and Arrhenius equation. The results show that the structure of the specimen is amorphous. The glass transition temperature (Tg), onset crystallization temperature (Tx) and crystallization peak temperature (Tp) are 713 K, 779 K, and 781 K, respectively, and supercooled liquid region ([Formula: see text]) is 66 K. The crystallization incubation times are shortened and the crystallization transformation rates increase with temperature rising. As the crystallization volume fraction increases, the crystallization nucleation rate shows a trend of first increasing and subsequently decreasing, while the activation energy decreases monotonously, in the same time, the crystallization behavior transforms from interface-controlled to diffusion-controlled growth. The thermal stability of amorphous alloy is also discussed.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The fundamental assumptions for various kinds of fetal electrocardiogram (fECG) extraction methods are not consistent with each other, which is a very important problem needed to be ascertained. METHODS: Based on two public databases, the regularity on ECG wave durations for normal sinus rhythm is investigated statistically. Taking the ascertained regularity as an assumption, a new fECG extraction algorithm is proposed, called Partial R-R interval Resampling (PRR). RESULTS: Both synthetic and real abdominal ECG signals are used to test the algorithm. The results indicate that the PRR algorithm has better performance over the whole R-R interval resampling based comb filtering method (RR) and linear template method (LP), which takes advantages of both LP and RR. CONCLUSIONS: The final drawn conclusion is: (1) the proposition should be true that the individual's heart beat span is invariable for normal sinus rhythm; (2) the proposed PRR fetal ECG extraction algorithm can estimate the maternal ECG (mECG) more accurately and stably even in the condition of large HRV, finally resulting in better fetal ECG extraction.

RESUMO

In this study, we applied generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model to conditional fluctuation characteristics of heart rate variation (HRV) series (congestive heart failure, Normal), with all the data from PhysioNet ECG database. Research results proved the existence of condition fluctuation characteristic in the series of changing rate of HRV. In the GARCH model family, threshold GARCH (1,1)(TGARCH (1,1)) model performs best in fitting changing rate of HRV. Although the structure of ARCH (1) model is simple, its error is the closest to that of TGARCH (1, 1) model. The results also showed that the difference was obvious between disease group and normal group. All these results provide a new method to the research and clinical application of HRV.

RESUMO

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) develops in relation to many environmental factors. In our opinion, it is more important to investigate the effect of melatonin on the environmental- related SLE. In the present study, 0.5 ml pristane were used to induce SLE in female BALB/c mice. Melatonin (0.01, 0.1, 1.0 mg/kg) was orally administered immediately after pristane-injection for 24 weeks. IgM anti ssDNA and histone antibodies were detected after 0, 1, 2, 4, 8 weeks pristane injection. The levels of IL-2, IL-6 and IL-13 were detected after 24 weeks. Renal lesions were also observed. The results showed that melatonin antagonized the increasing levels of IgM anti ssDNA and histone autoantibodies. Melatonin could also decrease the IL-6 and IL-13 production and increase the IL-2 production. Besides, melatonin could lessen the renal lesions caused by pristane. These results suggested that melatonin has a beneficial effect on pristane-induced lupus through regulating the cytokines disturbances.
