RESUMO

It has been established that the development of acute pancreatitis is accompanied by the reduced activity of glutamate dehydrogenase in the mitochondrial fraction of pancreas, pronounced in the focus of tissue necrosis and less expressed in the reactive inflammation focus. Besides this in the pancreas redistribution of enzyme, activity in the subcellular organelles takes place and enzyme activity emerges in the cytosol and further--in the blood and peritoneum liquid. Sodium thiosulfate has a marked correlation effect.

RESUMO

Experiments were conducted on pithed rats with acute pancreatitis and on falsely operated on animals (ether-laparotomy stress) to study the reactivity of vascular alpha 1- and alpha 2-adrenoreceptors and its role in changes in arterial pressure. Selective change in the reactivity of alpha 2-adrenoceptors alone was revealed in both groups. Stable reduction of vascular alpha 2-adrenergic reactivity (by 57-58%) and arterial pressure was recorded in animals with acute pancreatitis. In falsely operated on animals, in contrast, the values of these indices exceeded the control level. In animals with a functioning central nervous system inhibition of alpha 2-adrenergic reactivity correlated with change in arterial pressure only in the initial (3-4 hours) hemorrhagic phase of acute pancreatitis.

RESUMO

Methods of determination in the histological sections of the volumetric fraction of the tissue components, characterized by low content (less than 1%), uneven distribution and wide size variation are described. The measuring of the volumetric part of such a structure is carried out by two stages: in the first stage the true area of the whole section is estimated under the low magnification; in the second stage the same is made for the true area of the structure investigated. Then the volumetric density of the component in question is determined by the ratio of the area of investigated structure and that of the whole section. By this method it is identified that the normal volumetric part of the insular apparatus of the rat pancreas is on the average 0.46% in the duodenal part and 0.57% in the spleen part.

RESUMO

It has been experimentally and clinically established that the determination of leucine-aminotransferase activity in the blood serum and abdominal exudate may serve as a marker for the early determination of pancreonecrosis and edematous (serous) pancreatitis.

RESUMO

Electron microscopy of acinar cell (AC) of the pancreas cooled to -30 degrees C with subsequent thawing has disclosed the destruction of intracellular membranes, damage to the cell organelles followed by diffusion of the zymogen granule contents to the hyaloplasm and interstice. These changes corresponded to the phase of paranecrosis (cryogenic shock of the cell), whereas the AC lost its ability to autophagocytosis. Irreversible cryodestruction provoked complete cell necrosis during 3-6 hours. The less cold-affected cells were subsequently destroyed because of additional injurious action of enzymatic cytolysis and circulatory hypoxia.

RESUMO

Rats with experimental pancreatitis manifest a lowering of the serotonin content in mast cells of the mesentery and connective tissue. Injection of prostaglandin E2 first causes a diminution and then an increase in the serotonin content of mast cells. Prostaglandin F2 alpha produces a lowering of the serotonin content of mast cells.

RESUMO

Initial steps of the experimental pancreatitis were characterized by an increase in glycerophosphate accumulation as well as in activity of glycerokinase, glycerophosphate dehydrogenase and glycerol dehydrogenase; content of free glycerol and dihydroacetone phosphate was also increased. Within the subsequent periods the patterns studied exhibited normalization except of glycerokinase and glycerophosphate dehydrogenase activity of which was distinctly decreased as compared with the controls.

RESUMO

Histological and histochemical study of the pancreas of albino rats and experimental pancreatitis showed the use of sodium thiosulfate to considerably inhibit the progress of necrotic changes and circulatory disturbance. The preparation prevented recidivation of pancreatitis and inhibited sclerotic changes in the gland. Sodium thiosulfate stimulated the regenerative process including regenerative hypertrophy and expressed epimorphosis.

RESUMO

In experimental pancreatitis in rats there was revealed a marked reduction, particularly on the 3rd-7th day of the disease, of neutral phospholipids in the blood plasma and formed elements. With the development of pancreatitis no polyglycerophospholipids (an important fraction of acid phospholipids participating in the formation of the oxidative enzymatic systems) were revealed in the liver. The described phenomena are regarded as significant pathogenetic factors leading to the development of fatty infiltration of the liver in pancreatitis.
