RESUMO

The prostanoid status was assessed in 138 patients with coronary atherosclerosis and clinical signs of stable angina. Plasma prostaglandin F2 alpha and E1, and stable prostacyclin and thromboxane metabolites were measured radioimmunologically, using standard kits. A relationship is demonstrated between the severity of clinical manifestations, and pattern and magnitude of change in individual prostanoids.

RESUMO

A study of the effect of the main risk factors of atherosclerosis in coronary patients on the prevalence of lipoidosis and prelipid changes in the aortal intima showed a week interrelationship between the studied risk factors and prevalence of lipoidosis. A noticeable significant interrelationship of the prevalence of prelipid changes in the aortal intima, patient's age, the IRI level and alpha-XC concentration in the blood plasma was established. An equation was described. A nomogram was presented permitting determination of the prevalence of prelipid changes in the aortal intima and, consequently, the phase of a course of atherosclerosis during the patient's lifetime on the basis of the above risk factors.

RESUMO

After administration of insulin acetylation of histones and acid proteins in liver cell nuclei was decreased within 30 min; it increased gradually within 120 min and there was no difference as compared with control within 360 min in young animals. Incorporation of acetate label into proteins was inhibited within 90 min after the hormone loading in old animals and it did not differ from control within 120 min. Under these conditions acetylation of globulin proteins was decreased within 30 min; it approached the control level within 60 min after which it did not distinctly alter ad compared with the control.

RESUMO

The intensity of acetylation of different histone fraction is found to change in postnatal ontogenesis of albino rats. The intensity of acetylation of lisine-rich histone (F1) was maximal in 3-and 12-month old animals. The label incorporation into F3 (arginine-rich) histones considerably decreased in the time interval between 1st and 3d months while its incorporation increased into F2 histones furing all the period of postnatal development studied.
