[Appearance of mast cells in the placenta of pregnancies delivered at and before term]. / Wystepowanie komórek tucznych w lozyskach z ciazy zakonczonej porodem w terminie i porodem przedwczesnym.

Histologic material included 90 placentas of normal pregnancy and 36 of preterm deliveries. The particular attention was paid to mast cells in connective tissue of placental villi. Samples were fixed in 4% acid formaline and stained both with acridine organ and routine technique. Mast cells were found adjacent chorionic vessels in placentas delivered at term. The same feature was observed in preterm delivered placentas.

[Trichomonas vaginitis at different life stages of women]. / Rzesistkowica pochwowa w róznych okresach zycia organizmu zenskiego.

Using of fresh slides and culture T. vaginalis was found in 1094 persons (3.20%). It has been seen the morphological differentiation of T. vaginalis connected with the age, physiological state of macroorganisms and the clinic picture of trichomoniasis. In vivo, the spheroidal as well as ameboid forms of T. vaginalis were observed. The latter ones, characteristic in acute trichomoniasis, were often seen in pregnant women. On the other hand, nonmobile round-shaped forms of T. vaginalis occurred in vaginal contents of girls, women in child-bed and old (5 years after menopause) women. It seems, that morphologically + variability of T. vaginalis depends on changes of specific environment of human vagina, which is very sensitive to hormonal+ responses. It may be considered as adaptation of parasite to different biological conditions of vaginal environment.

[A model of the prevention of malignant female genital neoplasms introduced into the gynecological health services in the Bialystok macroregion]. / Model profilaktyki nowotworów zlosliwych zenskiego narzadu plciowego wprowadzony do pracy pionu polozniczo-ginekologicznego w makroregionie Bialostockim.

The authors have presented model of prophylaxis of female genital organ cancers introduced into the practice of obtained and gynaecological health service in Bia l ystok macroregion . It was emphasized the significance of particular methods-components of mentioned above model to proper function of this model. The results were analysed and compared with the mortality rate trends.

[Incidence of trichomonas vaginitis among women in the Bialystok region]. / Analiza wykrywalnosci rzesistkowicy pochwy kobiet regionu Bialostockiego.

Nine-year period of examinations, carries out within the former borders of the Bia l ystok Province including 332 774-391 959 women above 20 years of age, was subjected to analysis. From this group, about 85000-109000 women underwent microbiological examinations. An increasing number of microbiologically examined women corresponds to increasing detectability of trichomoniasis between 1971-1972. From that time on, a distinct decrease in detectability has been observed. Detailed analysis of trichomoniasis detectability was performed in different Departments of Health Services. Significant differences in trichomoniasis detectability were found in the whole region and particular Departments of Health Service. The last detectability has been shown by the Department of Health Service for Bia l ystok . The scheme of diagnostic procedures in the same for the whole region.

[Use of partusisten during labour for treatment of increased uterus tonus (author's transl)]. / Die Anwendung von Partuisten in der Behandlung des gesteigerten Gebärmuttertonus im Verlaufe der Geburt.

Partusisten slow-drop infusions were applied to twelve women in labour with spontaneous increase of the uterus tonus in rest. The preparation was found to lower the tonus in rest and to increase the amplitude of uterus contractions.
