RESUMO

The article reports the results of clinical and physiological studies of 93 patients presenting with post-infarction cardiosclerosis and sings of cerebrovascular disease. The experience with the application of the combined rehabilitative treatment including therapeutic physical exercises is based on the results of the observation of two groups of the patients. Those of the study group performed special physical exercises designed to act on brain hemodynamics. The patients of the control group used traditional therapeutic exercises usually prescribed to those suffering from coronary artery disease. It was shown that the treatment including therapeutic physical exercises offered to the patients of the study group has an advantage of the significant positive impact on haemodynamics and functional activity of the brain; moreover, it reduces the severity of cardio-vascular cerebral symptoms and thereby contributes to complete rehabilitation of the patients with post-infarction cardiosclerosis.

RESUMO

The introduction of statokinesitherapy with biological feedback into combined rehabilitative treatment of the patients presenting with coronary heart disease associated with arterial hypertension and clinical manifestations of dyscirculatory encephalopathy and/or vertebrobasilar insufficiency reduced the severity of clinical symptoms of cerebral syndromes. Specifically, it resulted in the decreased frequency of dizziness and shaky walk, improved coordination and sense of equilibrium, enhanced postural stability in the vertical position. The positive dynamics of clinical manifestations was confirmed by the results of stabilometry that suggested decreased deviation from the centre of pressure in the frontal and saggital directions and diminished total area of the statokinesiogram.

RESUMO

The present study included 80 patients at the age varying from 24 to 59 years examined at different time (from 3 months to 3 years) after the surgical treatment of herniated intervertebral disks, mostly with clinical signs of L(v)-, S1-root radiculopathy. Coordination gymnastics included a complex of specific isotonico-isometric, isometric, and isotonic exercises designed to affect the deep stabilization system. The exercises were performed in five starting positions in a continuous mode with a small or medium amplitude of the movements synchronized with breathing. It was shown that coordination gymnastics in combination with magnetic therapy and iodine-bromine baths results in the statistically significant relief of pain syndrome (p<0.001) and formation of the muscular corset. Moreover, it increases stability of the vertebral column, improves its adaptation to physical activity, eliminates regional postural imbalance, and promotes formation of the proper movement patterns. Taken together, these effects constitute secondary prophylaxis of vertebrogenic pain syndrome and progressive degenerative changes.

RESUMO

The mechanism of action of cryomassage of the abdominal wall in the patients presenting with gastroduodenal pathology is considered. The authors suppose that the positive effect of cryotherapy is underlain by normalization of microcirculation in the digestive organs and the resulting improvement of energy and plastic support of intracellular processes, e.g. phosphorylation.

RESUMO

The present study is devoted to the estimation of therapeutic and prophylactic effects of cryomassage and silvinite speleotherapy in the patients with partially controlled asthma. Advantages of the combined application of rehabilitative technologies are illustrated by their well-expressed anti-inflammatory and immunocorrecive actions, reduced obstruction and hyper-reactivity of the bronchi, improved pulmonary cardiohemodynamics, enhanced physical tolerance and better psychological adaptation.

RESUMO

The proposed technique of cryomassage in outpatient setting promotes a complete healing of duodenal ulcer (DU) in patients with DU exacerbation. Healing of the ulcer is accompanied by improvement of blood flow in the zones of segmental innervation of the gastroduodenal system and by recovery of impaired cellular and humoral immunity in most of the patients.

RESUMO

97 females at reproductive age with chronic nonspecific salpingo-oophoritis (CNSO) were examined and treated. The results of the treatment (vaginal and external impact) demonstrate positive effects of various cryotherapeutic techniques on CNSO clinical course, on hormonal and immune unbalance, functional activity of the uterine tubes, regional hemodynamics, psychoemotional status. Thus, cryotherapy is an effective adjuvant in combined therapy of CNSO.

RESUMO

74 patients with chronic salpingo-oophoritis (CS) in remission were assessed as to effects of classic massage of the uterine and epoöphoronic reflexogenic zones on clinical pattern of the disease, bioelectric activity of the abdominal muscles, spine and pelvis, blood coagulation. The combined massage produced a more potent effect on electric activity of the above muscles and blood coagulation than massage on a single area. It is better to start massage from the abdomen and continue in the lumbosacral area.

RESUMO

Therapeutic response to treatment (vaginal and external cryotherapy, drugs) in 97 patients with chronic salpingo-oophoritis at reproductive age provides the conclusion on effectiveness of various cryotherapeutic regimens in this disease. Cryotherapy improves regional blood circulation, restores contractility of the uterine tubes.

RESUMO

Seventy two patients with coronary heart disease who had undergone aortocoronary bypass grafting were followed up. In the early postoperative periods (on day 16) the patients had ergometer exercise testing along with chest massage. In patients with complete myocardial revascularization and without complications, the exercise was 50% of the individual threshold capacity, followed by its correction every 7 days after control bicycle ergometry. In patients with incomplete myocardial revascularization or with intra- and postoperative complications, exercises with steady capacity (50% of the threshold capacity) were performed, by enhancing its exposition in a gradual manner. A course of physical training (15-18 studies 5 times a week) resulted in improvement of the patients' clinical condition, and caused a training effect and positive alterations in central hemodynamic parameters in patients with both hyper- and hypokinetic hemodynamic baselines.
