[The autonomy of caregivers and patients: a philosophical perspective]. / L'autonomie des soignants et des patients : éclairage philosophique.

The nursing profession is moving towards greater autonomy. At the same time, users support the notion of a health democracy. At the crossroads of these two, sometimes contradictory processes, health professionals, trained to be reflexive and adaptable, have to attempt to combine patient autonomy and the respect of the constraints of the health sector. A complicated exercise which a philosophical approach can perhaps help to put into perspective.
