[Effect of anthropotechnogenic chemical factors on formation of somatotypes in children and adolescents of school age]. / Formirovanie somatotipov u detei i podrostkov shkol'nogo vozrasta pod vliianiem antropotekhnogennykh khimicheskikh faktorov.

This research was done to study the dynamics of a process of constitutional types formation in 163 schoolboys and 181 schoolgirls, who live and study in various regions of the city of Ivanovo which are characterized by a different degree of environmental pollution with heavy metal salts and lead in particular. To define the constitutional types, the method of V.G. Shtefko and A.D. Ostrovsky (1929) was used. It was demonstrated that environmental pollution with heavy metal salts, the absorbed dose of which 3 times exceeded the maximum permissible dose, lead to the delay of somatotype differentiation in children and adolescents, which was more pronounced in schoolboys than in schoolgirls.
