BACKGROUND: Breast cancer has become one of the leading causes of cancer deaths and is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among females worldwide. Despite advances in breast cancer therapy, metastatic disease in most patients will eventually progress due to the development of de novo or secondary resistance. Thus, it is extremely important to seek novel drugs with high effectiveness and low toxicity for systematic therapy. METHODS: We applied a 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay in this study to analyze and evaluate the cytotoxic activity of oleanolic acid (OA) and its derivatives in three types of breast cancer cell lines (MDA-MB-231, MCF-7, and MDA-MB-453). A flow cytometry assay was performed to access the mechanisms of apoptosis and cell cycle analysis in SZC010 in MDA-MB-453 cells. Apoptosis- and cyclin-related proteins were evaluated by western blot. The key proteins of the NF-κB and PI3K-Akt-mTOR signaling pathway were also evaluated by western blot. RESULTS: Our results revealed that all OA derivatives were more effective than OA in three types of breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, and MDA-MB-453). Among these seven OA derivatives, SZC010 exhibited the most potent cytotoxicity in MDA-MB-453 cells. Additionally, we observed that SZC010 treatment induced dose-and time-dependent growth inhibition in MDA-MB-453 cells. Furthermore, we demonstrated that SZC010 induced growth arrest in the G2/M phase and apoptosis by inhibition of NF-κB activation via the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway. CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate that the novel OA derivative, SZC010, has great potential in breast cancer therapy.

BACKGROUND: Artificial sweeteners are widely popular worldwide as substitutes for sugar or caloric sweeteners, but there are still several important unknowns and controversies regarding their associations with cardiovascular disease (CVD). We aimed to extensively assess the association and subgroup variability between artificial sweeteners and CVD and CVD mortality in the UK Biobank cohort, and further investigate the modification effects of genetic susceptibility and the mediation role of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). METHODS: This study included 133,285 participants in the UK Biobank who were free of CVD and diabetes at recruitment. Artificial sweetener intake was obtained from repeated 24-hour diet recalls. Cox proportional hazard models were used to estimate HRs. Genetic predisposition was estimated using the polygenic risk score (PRS). Furthermore, time-dependent mediation was performed. RESULTS: In our study, artificial sweetener intake (each teaspoon increase) was significantly associated with an increased risk of incident overall CVD (HR1.012, 95%CI: 1.008,1.017), coronary artery disease (CAD) (HR: 1.018, 95%CI: 1.001,1.035), peripheral arterial disease (PAD) (HR: 1.035, 95%CI: 1.010,1.061), and marginally significantly associated with heart failure (HF) risk (HR: 1.018, 95%CI: 0.999,1.038). In stratified analyses, non-whites were at greater risk of incident overall CVD from artificial sweetener. People with no obesity (BMI < 30 kg/m2) also tended to be at greater risk of incident CVD from artificial sweetener, although the obesity interaction is not significant. Meanwhile, the CVD risk associated with artificial sweeteners is independent of genetic susceptibility, and no significant interaction exists between genetic susceptibility and artificial sweeteners in terms of either additive or multiplicative effects. Furthermore, our study revealed that the relationship between artificial sweetener intake and overall CVD is significantly mediated, in large part, by prior T2DM (proportion of indirect effect: 70.0%). In specific CVD subtypes (CAD, PAD, and HF), the proportion of indirect effects ranges from 68.2 to 79.9%. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest significant or marginally significant associations between artificial sweeteners and CVD and its subtypes (CAD, PAD, and HF). The associations are independent of genetic predisposition and are mediated primarily by T2DM. Therefore, the large-scale application of artificial sweeteners should be prudent, and the responses of individuals with different characteristics to artificial sweeteners should be better characterized to guide consumers' artificial sweeteners consumption behavior.

The main cause of corneal blindness worldwide is keratitis, especially the infectious form caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and Acanthamoeba. The key to effective management of infectious keratitis hinges on prompt and precise diagnosis. Nevertheless, the current gold standard, such as cultures of corneal scrapings, remains time-consuming and frequently yields false-negative results. Here, using 23,055 slit-lamp images collected from 12 clinical centers nationwide, this study constructed a clinically feasible deep learning system, DeepIK, that could emulate the diagnostic process of a human expert to identify and differentiate bacterial, fungal, viral, amebic, and noninfectious keratitis. DeepIK exhibited remarkable performance in internal, external, and prospective datasets (all areas under the receiver operating characteristic curves > 0.96) and outperformed three other state-of-the-art algorithms (DenseNet121, InceptionResNetV2, and Swin-Transformer). Our study indicates that DeepIK possesses the capability to assist ophthalmologists in accurately and swiftly identifying various infectious keratitis types from slit-lamp images, thereby facilitating timely and targeted treatment.

Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) encompasses liver damage caused by chronic, excessive alcohol consumption. It manifests initially as marked hepatocellular steatosis and can progress to steatohepatitis, liver fibrosis, and cirrhosis. With China's rapid economic growth, coupled with a complex social background and the influence of a deleterious wine culture, the number of patients with ALD in China has increased significantly; the disease has become a social and health problem that cannot be ignored. In this review, we briefly described the social factors affecting ALD in China and elaborated on differences between alcoholic and other liver diseases in terms of complications (e.g., cirrhosis, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatocellular carcinoma, addiction, and other extrahepatic diseases). We also emphasized that ALD was more dangerous and difficult to treat than other liver diseases due to its complications, and that precise and effective treatment measures were lacking. In addition, we considered new ideas and treatment methods that may be generated in the future.

Additive manufacturing (AM), commonly known as three-dimensional (3D) printing, has drawn substantial attention in recent decades due to its efficiency and precise control in part fabrication. The limitations of conventional fabrication processes, especially regarding geometry complexity, supply chain, and environmental impact, have prompted the exploration of diverse AM technologies in electrochemistry. Especially, three ink-based AM techniques, binder jet printing (BJP), direct ink writing (DIW), and Inkjet Printing (IJP), have been extensively applied by numerous research teams to produce electrodes, catalyst scaffolds, supercapacitors, batteries, etc. BJP's versatility in utilizing a wide range of materials as powder feedstock promotes its potential for various electrode and battery applications. DIW and IJP stand out for their ability to handle multi-material manufacturing tasks and deliver high printing resolution. To capture recent advancements in this field, we present a comprehensive review of the applications of BJP, DIW, and IJP techniques in fabricating electrochemical devices and components. This review intends to provide an overview of the process-structure-property relationship in electrochemical materials and components across diverse applications manufactured using AM techniques. We delve into how the significantly improved design freedom over the structure offered by these ink-based AM techniques highlights the performance of electrochemical products. Moreover, we highlight their advantages in terms of material compatibility, geometry control, and cost-effectiveness. In specific cases, we also compare the performance of electrochemical components fabricated using AM and conventional manufacturing methods. Finally, we conclude this review article by offering some insights into the future development in this research field.

Given the pivotal roles of metabolomics and microbiomics, numerous data mining approaches aim to uncover their intricate connections. However, the complex many-to-many associations between metabolome-microbiome profiles yield numerous statistically significant but biologically unvalidated candidates. To address these challenges, we introduce BiOFI, a strategic framework for identifying metabolome-microbiome correlation pairs (Bi-Omics). BiOFI employs a comprehensive scoring system, incorporating intergroup differences, effects on feature correlation networks, and organism abundance. Meanwhile, it establishes a built-in database of metabolite-microbe-KEGG functional pathway linking relationships. Furthermore, BiOFI can rank related feature pairs by combining importance scores and correlation strength. Validation on a dataset of cesarean-section infants confirms the strategy's validity and interpretability. The BiOFI R package is freely accessible at https://github.com/chentianlu/BiOFI.

Immunotherapy is regarded as one of the most promising approaches for treating tumors, with a multitude of immunotherapeutic thoughts currently under consideration for the lethal glioblastoma (GBM). However, issues with immunotherapeutic agents, such as limited in vivo stability, poor blood-brain barrier (BBB) penetration, insufficient GBM targeting, and represented monotherapy, have hindered the success of immunotherapeutic interventions. Moreover, even with the aid of conventional drug delivery systems, outcomes remain suboptimal. Biomimetic strategies seek to overcome these formidable drug delivery challenges by emulating nature's intelligent structures and functions. Leveraging the variety of biological structures and functions, biomimetic drug delivery systems afford a versatile platform with enhanced biocompatibility for the co-delivery of diverse immunotherapeutic agents. Moreover, their inherent capacity to traverse the BBB and home in on GBM holds promise for augmenting the efficacy of GBM immunotherapy. Thus, this review begins by revisiting the various thoughts and agents on immunotherapy for GBM. Then, the barriers to successful GBM immunotherapy are analyzed, and the corresponding biomimetic strategies are explored from the perspective of function and structure. Finally, the clinical translation's current state and prospects of biomimetic strategy are addressed. This review aspires to provide fresh perspectives on the advancement of immunotherapy for GBM.

The mechanism and function of the expression of Schwann characteristics by nevus cells in the mature zone of the dermis are unknown. Early growth response 3 (EGR3) induces Schwann cell-like differentiation of melanoma cells by simulating the process of nevus maturation, which leads to a strong phenotypic transformation of the cells, including the formation of long protrusions and a decrease in cell motility, proliferation, and melanin production. Meanwhile, EGR3 regulates the levels of myelin protein zero (MPZ) and collagen type I alpha 1 chain (COL1A1) through SRY-box transcription factor 10 (SOX10)-dependent and independent mechanisms, by binding to non-strictly conserved motifs, respectively. Schwann cell-like differentiation demonstrates significant benefits in both in vivo and clinical studies. Finally, a CD86-P2A-EGR3 recombinant mRNA vaccine is developed which leads to tumor control through forced cell differentiation and enhanced immune infiltration. Together, these data support further development of the recombinant mRNA as a treatment for cancer.

T-cell receptor (TCR) detection can examine the extent of T-cell immune responses. Therefore, the article analyzed characteristic data of glioma obtained by DNA-based TCR high-throughput sequencing, to predict the disease with fewer biomarkers and higher accuracy. We downloaded data online and obtained six TCR-related diversity indices to establish a multidimensional classification system. By comparing actual presence of the 602 correlated sequences, we obtained two-dimensional and multidimensional datasets. Multiple classification methods were utilized for both datasets with the classification accuracy of multidimensional data slightly less to two-dimensional datasets. This study reduced the TCR ß sequences through feature selection methods like RFECV (Recursive Feature Elimination with Cross-Validation). Consequently, using only the presence of these three sequences, the classification AUC value of 96.67% can be achieved. The combination of the three correlated TCR clones obtained at a source data threshold of 0.1 is: CASSLGGNTEAFF_TRBV12_TRBJ1-1, CASSYSDTGELFF_TRBV6_TRBJ2-2, and CASSLTGNTEAFF_TRBV12_TRBJ1-1. At 0.001, the combination is: CASSLGETQYF_TRBV12_TRBJ2-5, CASSLGGNQPQHF_TRBV12_TRBJ1-5, and CASSLSGNTIYF_TRBV12_TRBJ1-3. This method can serve as a potential diagnostic and therapeutic tool, facilitating diagnosis and treatment of glioma and other cancers.

Ultrasound (US) has been introduced to computer-assisted orthopedic surgery for bone registration owing to its advantages of nonionizing radiation, low cost, and noninvasiveness. However, the registration accuracy is limited by US image distortion caused by variations in the acoustic properties of soft tissues. This paper proposes a soft-tissue sound-speed-aware registration method to overcome the above challenge. First, the feature enhancement strategy of multi-channel overlay is proposed for U2-net to improve bone segmentation performance. Secondly, the sound speed of soft tissue is estimated by simulating the bone surface distance map for the update of US-derived points. Finally, an iterative registration strategy is adopted to optimize the registration result. A phantom experiment was conducted using different registration methods for the femur and tibia/fibula. The fiducial registration error (femur, 0.98 ± 0.08 mm (mean ± SD); tibia/fibula, 1.29 ± 0.19 mm) and the target registration error (less than 2.11 mm) showed the high accuracy of the proposed method. The experimental results suggest that the proposed method can be integrated into navigation systems that provide surgeons with accurate 3D navigation information.

Several studies have indicated that the gut microbiome and tumor microbiota may affect tumors. Emerging metabolomics research illustrates the need to examine the variations in microbial metabolite composition between patients with cancer and healthy individuals. Microbial metabolites can impact the progression of tumors and the immune response by influencing a number of mechanisms, including modulation of the immune system, cancer or immune­related signaling pathways, epigenetic modification of proteins and DNA damage. Microbial metabolites can also alleviate side effects and drug resistance during chemotherapy and immunotherapy, while effectively activating the immune system to exert tumor immunotherapy. Nevertheless, the impact of microbial metabolites on tumor immunity can be both beneficial and harmful, potentially influenced by the concentration of the metabolites or the specific cancer type. The present review summarizes the roles of various microbial metabolites in different solid tumors, alongside their influence on tumor immunity and treatment. Additionally, clinical trials evaluating the therapeutic effects of microbial metabolites or related microbes on patients with cancer have been listed. In summary, studying microbial metabolites, which play a crucial role in the interaction between the microbiota and tumors, could lead to the identification of new supplementary treatments for cancer. This has the potential to improve the effectiveness of cancer treatment and enhance patient prognosis.

RESULTS: Eventually, 108 consecutive patients received 174 surgeries were enrolled, experienced new or expanded infarction occured in 13 (7.47%) surgeries, which showed higher Suzuki stage on the non-operative side, more posterior cerebral artery (PCA) involvement, and more intraoperative hypotension compared to those without infarction(p < .05). The Suzuki stage on the non-operative side had the highest area under the curve (AUC) of 0.737, with a sensitivity of 0.692 and specificity of 0.783. Combination of the three factors showed better efficiency, with an AUC of 0.762, a sensitivity of 0.692, and a specificity of 0.907. CONCLUSIONS: Revascularization was a safe option for patients with MMD, higher Suzuki stage on the non-operative side, PCA involvement, and intraoperative hypotension might be the risk factors for new or expanded infarction after revascularization in patients with MMD.

BACKGROUND: The bone holes in the skull during surgical drainage were accurately located at the site of the MMA. The MMA was severed, and the hematoma was removed intraoperatively; furthermore, surgical drainage removed the pathogenic factors of CSDH. This study aimed to describe and compare the results of the new treatment with those of traditional surgical drainage, and to investigate the relevance of this approach. METHODS: From December 2021 to June 2023, 72 patients were randomly assigned to the observation group and the control group. The control group was treated with traditional surgical drainage, while the observation group was treated with DSA imaging to accurately locate the bone holes drilled in the skull on the MMA trunk before traditional surgical drainage. The MMA trunk was severed during the surgical drainage of the hematoma. The recurrence rate, time of indwelling drainage tube, complications, mRS, and other indicators of the two groups were compared, and the changes of cytokine components and imaging characteristics of the patients were collected and analyzed. RESULTS: Overall, 27 patients with 29-side hematoma in the observation group and 45 patients with 48-side hematoma in the control group were included in the study. The recurrence rate was 0/29 in the observation group and 4/48 in the control group, indicating that the recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than in the control group (P = .048). The mean indwelling time of the drainage tube in the observation group was 2.04 ± 0.61 days, and that in the control group was 2.48 ± 0.61 days. The indwelling time of the drainage tube in the observation group was shorter than in the control group (P = .003). No surgical complications were observed in the observation group or the control group. The differences in mRS scores before and after operation between the observation group and the control group were statistically significant (P < .001). The concentrations of cytokine IL6/IL8/IL10/VEGF in the hematoma fluid of the observation and control groups were significantly higher than those in venous blood (P < .001). After intraoperative irrigation and drainage, the concentrations of cytokines (IL6/IL8/IL10/VEGF) in the subdural hematoma fluid were significantly lower than they were preoperatively. In the observation group, the number of MMA on the hematoma side (11/29) before STA development was higher than that on the non-hematoma side (1/25), and the difference was statistically significant (P = .003). CONCLUSION: In patients with CSDH, accurately locating the MMA during surgical trepanation and drainage, severing the MMA during drainage, and properly draining the hematoma, can reduce the recurrence rate and retention time of drainage tubes, thereby significantly improving the postoperative mRS Score without increasing surgical complications.

PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs), a class of small non-coding RNAs (sncRNAs) with 24-32 nucleotides (nt), were initially identified in the reproductive system. Unlike microRNAs (miRNAs) or small interfering RNAs (siRNAs), piRNAs normally guide P-element-induced wimpy testis protein (PIWI) families to slice extensively complementary transposon transcripts without the seed pairing. Numerous studies have shown that piRNAs are abundantly expressed in the brain, and many of them are aberrantly regulated in central neural system (CNS) disorders. However, the role of piRNAs in the related developmental and pathological processes is unclear. The elucidation of piRNAs/PIWI would greatly improve the understanding of CNS development and ultimately lead to novel strategies to treat neural diseases. In this review, we summarized the relevant structure, properties, and databases of piRNAs and their functional roles in neural development and degenerative disorders. We hope that future studies of these piRNAs will facilitate the development of RNA-based therapeutics for CNS disorders.

BACKGROUND: Diabetes is prevalent among patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is associated with a poor prognosis. Although the hypoglycemic drug metformin has shown anti-tumor effects, its potential positive effect on patients with HCC and diabetes undergoing transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of metformin in patients with HCC and type II diabetes who are receiving TACE. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This retrospective study involved 372 consecutive patients with HCC and type II diabetes across three medical centers between January 2014 and June 2021. All patients underwent TACE. Propensity score matching (PSM) was used to reduce selection bias. Cox proportional hazards regression was employed to compare all-cause death between the metformin and non-metformin groups, while competing risk regression was performed to assess cancer-specific death. RESULTS: Among 372 patients included in the study, 208 patients (177 male patients and 31 female patients) with mean age 59.6 (10.3) years received metformin and 164 patients (139 male patients and 25 female patients) with mean age 60.3 (10.0) years did not. Before PSM, patients with metformin had significantly longer median overall survival (mOS) and median progression-free survival (mPFS) than those without metformin (mOS: 34 months, 95% CI: 25.6-42.4 vs. 20 months, 95% CI: 15.3-24.7; P<0.001; mPFS: 11 months, 95% CI: 9.3-12.7 vs. 8 months, 95% CI: 5.9-10.1; P<0.001). Similar results were observed after PSM. Multivariate regression analysis indicated that metformin was associated with a reduced risk of all-cause mortality (HR: 0.589, 95% CI: 0.454-0.763; P<0.001) and tumor progression (HR: 0.667, 95% CI: 0.526-0.845; P=0.001) before PSM. After excluding deaths related to other factors, metformin continued to demonstrate a reduction in cancer-specific mortality risk among the patients. Subgroup analysis further revealed that patients using metformin had lower all-cause mortality risk and tumor progression risk than those without metformin in most subgroups. Adverse event evaluation suggested that metformin could lead to elevated nausea incidence. CONCLUSION: Metformin may confer survival benefits to patients with HCC and type II diabetes undergoing TACE. Metformin may simultaneously address multiple aspects of treatment in these patients.

Paper-based lateral flow immunoassays (LFIAs) are cost-effective, portable, and simple methods for detection of diverse analytes, which however only provide qualitative or semiquantitative results and lack sufficient sensitivity. A combination of LFIA and electrochemical detection, namely, electrochemical lateral flow immunoassay (eLFIA), enables quantitative detection of analytes with high sensitivity, but the integration of external electrodes makes the system relatively expensive and unstable. Herein, the working, counter, and reference electrodes were prepared directly on the nitrocellulose membrane using screen printing, which remarkably simplified the structure of eLFIA and decreased the cost. Moreover, a horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-based electrochemical signal amplification strategy was used for further increasing the analytical sensitivity. HRP captured on the working electrode can catalyze the oxidation of tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to form the TMB-TMBox precipitate on the electrode surface, which as an electrochemically active product can output an amplified current for quantification. We demonstrated that the eLFIA could detect low-abundant inflammatory biomarkers in human plasma samples with limits of detection of 0.17 and 0.54 pg mL-1 for interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein, respectively. Finally, a fully portable system was fabricated by integrating eLFIA with a flexible and wireless electrochemical workstation, realizing the point-of-care detection of interleukin-6.

The pollution caused by heavy metals (HMs) represents a global concern due to their serious environmental threat. Photosynthetic cyanobacteria have a natural niche and the ability to remediate HMs such as cadmium. However, their practical application is hindered by a low tolerance to HMs and issues related to recycling. In response to these challenges, this study focuses on the development and evaluation of engineered cyanobacteria-based living materials for HMs bioremediation. Genes encoding phytochelatins (PCSs) and metallothioneins (MTs) were introduced into the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, creating PM/6803. The strain exhibited improved tolerance to multiple HMs and effectively removed a combination of Cd2+, Zn2+, and Cu2+. Using Cd2+ as a representative, PM/6803 achieved a bioremediation rate of approximately 21 µg of Cd2+/OD750 under the given test conditions. To facilitate its controllable application, PM/6803 was encapsulated using sodium alginate-based hydrogels (PM/6803@SA) to create "living materials" with different shapes. This system was feasible, biocompatible, and effective for removing Cd2+ under simulated conditions of zebrafish and mice models. Briefly, in vitro application of PM/6803@SA efficiently rescued zebrafish from polluted water containing Cd2+, while in vivo use of PM/6803@SA significantly decreased the Cd2+ content in mice bodies and restored their active behavior. The study offers feasible strategies for HMs bioremediation using the interesting biomaterials of engineered cyanobacteria both in vitro and in vivo.

Acute lung injury (ALI), a critical complication observed in various clinical disorders, is characterized by widespread inflammation, neutrophil infiltration, and proinflammatory cytokine production. This study showed that the recently identified non-coding RNA ISIR and its human homolog gene AK131315 played a role in regulating lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory responses. ISIR and AK131315 increased the production of inflammatory cytokines in LPS-stimulated macrophages, and exogenous ISIR aggravated LPS-induced lung inflammation in an animal model of ALI. Mechanistically, ISIR promoted LPS-triggered NF-κB and MAPK signaling and the transcription of proinflammatory cytokines by enhancing TAK1 activation. Furthermore, a significant correlation was observed between AK131315 expression and pulmonary infectious caused by Gram-negative bacteria, suggesting that AK131315 plays an important role in bacterial infections. Altogether, these findings indicate that ISIR regulates LPS-induced inflammation and AK131315 is involved in the pathogenesis of bacterial infections.

AIM: The objective was to investigate the specific role and the regulatory mechanism of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) during wound healing in diabetic foot ulcer (DFU). METHODS: Streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were used to establish a DFU animal model. VEGF and Axitinib (a specific inhibitor of VEGFR) were used for treatment in vivo. The wounds at different time points were imaged and histological analysis of the wounds were performed by haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and Masson's trichrome staining. Immunohistochemical staining was conducted to examine CD31 and eNOS expression in the wounds. Immunofluorescence assay and quantitative real-time PCR were performed to examine macrophage markers. In addition, THP-1 was differentiated to macrophages, and then treated with interleukin (IL)-4 to induce M2 macrophages, followed by VEGF treatment. The conditional medium (CM) from VEGF-mediated macrophages were collected to culture human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs). Cell viability and migration were measured by Cell Counting Kit (CCK)-8, wound-healing and Transwell assays, respectively. RESULTS: VEGF treatment remarkably accelerated wound healing of DFU rats. VEGF promoted collagen deposition and elevated CD31 and eNOS expression, confirming the pro-angiogenesis of VEGF around diabetic wound in rats. Meanwhile, VEGF restricted pro-inflammatory cytokines and increased F4/80 and CD206 expression, highlighting the activated macrophages and enhanced M2 macrophages following VEGF treatment in diabetic wounds of DFU rats. However, Axitinib exerted an opposite function to VEGF in DFU rats. Moreover, VEGF directly promoted macrophage polarization toward M2 phenotype in vitro, and the CM from VEGF-mediated M2 macrophages markedly promoted HDFs proliferation, migration and collagen deposition. CONCLUSION: VEGF might accelerate the wound healing of DFU through promoting M2 macrophage polarization and fibroblast migration.
