RESUMO

Social entrepreneurship (SE) is an all-encompassing concept in comparison to a typical non-government organization (NGO). It is a topic that has captured the interest of academics investigating nonprofit, charitable, and nongovernmental organizations. Despite the interest, few studies have examined the overlap and convergence of entrepreneurship and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in congruence with the new phase of globalization. The study gathered and evaluated 73 peer-reviewed papers using a systematic literature review methodology, mainly from Web of Science but also from Scopus, JSTOR, and Science Direct, and supplemented by a search of existing databases and bibliographies. Based on the findings, 71 percent of studies suggest that organizations must reconsider the concept of social work, which has evolved rapidly, aided by globalization. The concept has changed from the NGO model to a more sustainable one, such as that proposed by SE. However, it is difficult to draw broad generalizations regarding the convergence of context-dependent complex variables such as SE, NGOs, and globalization. The results of the study will significantly contribute to a better understanding of the convergence of SE and NGOs, as well as the recognition that many aspects of NGOs, SE, and post-COVID globalization remain unexamined.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Nowadays, a high level of sedentary behavior (SB) is an important health issue. Many studies have focused on evaluating the physical activity (PA) level, while evaluation of SB has received less attention. The main goal of the present study is to describe the sedentary lifestyle of the Hungarian adult population and identify the vulnerable groups with high amount of sitting time and the patterns of SB. Another aim of this study is to compare the two types of questionnaires (International Physical Activity Questionnaire-IPAQ and Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire-SBQ) related to sitting time. METHODS: This study analyzed cross-sectional primary data using self-reported questionnaires collected by a Hungarian research market company among the adult population in Hungary. The final sample of this study consisted of 1295 participants with a mean age of 45.9 years (SD = 15.2). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) test with post-hoc (Tukey) analysis were used to analyze the link between sitting time and socio-demographic variables (sex, age, BMI, settlement type, education level, marital status, work category, working hours, employment status, sport activity) and body mass index (BMI). RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: According to the SBQ, on average, Hungarians sit for 469.53 min per day (7.81 h) on weekdays and 421.25 min per day (7.01 h) on weekends, which suggested a significant difference compared to IPAQ data: 287.82 min per day (4.79 h) on weekdays and 224.30 min per day (3.73 h) on weekends. Young people (aged between 18 and 29) were reported to have the highest average sitting time, i.e., 545 min per day (more than 9 h), and are showing the highest prevalence (53%) of sitting at least 480 min (8 h) per day. Sitting workers also had a high average sitting time, i.e., 514.82 min per day, and a high prevalence (49.3%) of sitting at least 480 min (8 h) per day. People who live in the capital city had higher sitting time, especially on working days. Men sat longer than woman, i.e., 19 min on working days and 45 min on weekends. The most frequent sedentary activities are: working on computer (126 min) on working days and watching TV (130 min) on weekends. Our results clearly show that the self-report single-item measure (IPAQ) significantly underestimates sedentary time compared to the multi-item questionnaire (SBQ). We identified vulnerable groups with high sitting times: men, young adults, inhabitants of the capital city and sitting workers. Consequently, these groups should be continuously surveyed, and requires specific interventions and strategies that particularly counteract the increased sitting time.

RESUMO

A secular trend can be observed throughout the world with an increase in childhood obesity and a decrease in fitness. The research aimed to examine the results of tests measuring the conditional abilities of young boys aged 14-18 in fitness tests and their correlations with body composition indicators. That was supported by research that has been prepared in Hungary so far. This research focuses on the results of fitness tests conducted on 14- to 18-year-old boys, presented along with body composition data. The authors sought to describe the development of the fitness profiles of males at a Budapest secondary school participating in the research, based on the results of the Hungarian National Student Fitness Test (NETFIT®), and also how their physical characteristics affect the results of NETFIT® tests in the sample measured. A total of 735 male high school students at a Budapest secondary school (14-18 years old) (mean ± SD, 16.05 ± 1.18 years) participated in the survey. The data were collected in the 2018/2019 academic year, and it was compared with the national data. The correlation between the performance indicators of the NETFIT® tests and the physical characteristic indicators was analyzed using the two-block Partial Least Squares method. In the resulting groups, Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis was performed to investigate the differences in performance. In contrast, pairs of group differences were tested with the Mann-Whitney test. Boys with a short physique were at some advantage in trunk-lifts and push-ups, compared to taller boys. It was also obvious that being overweight is a hindrance regarding the PACER test or the standing broad jump. The handgrip in the left and right hand was mostly of similar strength or weakness. Tall-heavy children performed better in this test. The grip strength of tall-thin students was also strong, but not as strong as in the tall-heavy group. Reducing the percentage of body fat (PBF) and creating the optimal BMI index is important for the younger age group, as our results have clearly demonstrated that overweight is a hindrance in the PACER, VO2 max, standing broad jump, back-saver sit-and-reach, and push-up tests.

RESUMO

The present study is a synthesizing analysis of international literature on correlations between sustainability, sport, and physical activity. The study of sustainability is considered essential in modern research; its multidisciplinary approach relies on sports science and sports economics as well. There are several aspects of sustainability that are closely associated with health and health preservation; the beneficial effect of exercise on health is also widely known. For the analysis of this complex matter, our current study relied on secondary sources, and besides exploring specialist literature, it also illustrates and analyzes related statistical data. Our results highlight the correlations between living environment and physical activity, the importance of increasing individual commitment towards sustainability and using green spaces for exercising, as well as questions on social and environmental development in relation to physical activity. The study revealed the existence of highly complex links between physical environment, physical activities, and sustainability. The results section of our study provides a brief summary on the possible ways of making people physically active. Increasing physical activity is of paramount importance for achieving the objectives formulated in relation to sustainability.

RESUMO

We set out to identify the origins of the Árpád Dynasty based on genome sequencing of DNA derived from the skeletal remains of Hungarian King Béla III (1172-1196) and eight additional individuals (six males, two females) originally interred at the Royal Basilica of Székesfehérvár. Y-chromosome analysis established that two individuals, Béla III and HU52 assign to haplogroups R-Z2125 whose distribution centres near South Central Asia with subsidiary expansions in the regions of modern Iran, the Volga Ural region and the Caucasus. Out of a cohort of 4340 individuals from these geographic areas, we acquired whole-genome data from 208 individuals derived for the R-Z2123 haplogroup. From these data we have established that the closest living kin of the Árpád Dynasty are R-SUR51 derived modern day Bashkirs predominantly from the Burzyansky and Abzelilovsky districts of Bashkortostan in the Russian Federation. Our analysis also reveals the existence of SNPs defining a novel Árpád Dynasty specific haplogroup R-ARP. Framed within the context of a high resolution R-Z2123 phylogeny, the ancestry of the first Hungarian royal dynasty traces to the region centering near Northern Afghanistan about 4500 years ago and identifies the Bashkirs as their closest kin, with a separation date between the two populations at the beginning of the first millennium CE.

RESUMO

Capgras symptom is characterized by the delusional belief that a person significant to the patient has been replaced by a 'double' or 'impostor'. Capgras symptom was discussed to be associated with violent behavior. We report here the cases of two male patients with schizophrenia paranoid type, where parricide was connected to Capgras delusion. It is important to emphasize that in our observed cases, non-adherence played an essential role in the development of violent behavior, parricide. Orv Hetil. 2019; 160(42): 1673-1676.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: The prevalence of morbid obesity and its co-morbidities - first of all diabetes type 2 - increased dramatically in the last decades. As the conservative ways of treatment (diet, training, etc.) in most cases does not lead to effective and long term weight loss, there is an increasing need for the metabolic surgical interventions. METHOD: During the last 6 and half years 514 laparoscopic RouxY gastric bypass (LRYGB) and 54 laparoscopic gastric sleeve resection (LGSR) were performed in our department. The data of random selected 40 patients after primary LRYGB and 15 patients after sleeve resection were collected. The applied criteria of the indication for surgery, the routine examinations and treatments before and after the intervention, the results and the type and the rate of the complications will be presented. RESULTS: According to our experience both procedures are long term effective for weight loss and for the resolution of co-morbidities, and can be performed with low risk of complications. After LRYGB more effective weight loss (extra weight loss 88% vs. 68%) and higher rate of resolution of diabetes type 2, hypertension and gastro-esophageal reflux were found compared to sleeve resection. CONCLUSION: Based on our results we prefer LRYGB. Gastric sleeve resection is indicated by us, when there is no way - or only with high risk - to perform gastric bypass, taking into consideration of course the individual requirements of the patients.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Esophageal resection is a traumatic intervention usually performed on patients with poor condition, resulting high mortality and morbidity. To improve the high incidence of complications, minimal invasive interventions were introduced. The results of the thoracoscopically and laparoscopically performed esophageal resection (McKeown) was investigated after 20 cases and the technical details of the surgical intervention are presented. PATIENTS AND METHOD: 20 thoracoscopic esophageal resection with laparoscopic gastric tube formation (sec. Akiyama) preparing the esophago-gastric anastomosis on the neck were performed in our department in the last four years. 1 patient with stricture and the other 19 patients with esophageal cancer were operated on, among them11 had T4 stage. 17 patient received neoadjuvant chemo-radiotherapy because of advanced disease. Regular follow up examinations were performed in the oncological outpatient department. RESULTS: 8 patients are alive after a mean follow up period of 25 months, 2 of them are treated oncologically because of recurrent disease. 19 patients were extubated within 12 hours after the intervention and the time spent in the intensive care unit were reduced to 1 or 2 days. The mean duration of the intervention was 320 minutes. Thoracoscopic dissection was performed in 8 patients without ventilation of the right lung using double lumen tracheal tube, among them 3 patients developed pneumonia in the postoperative period. The remaining 12 patients were operated with ventilated right lung, among them one patient developed pneumonia. One patient was converted because of injury of the thoracic aorta, after urgent thoracotomy we managed to suture the aortic wall. 1 patient died in 30 days after the operation, caused by leakage of the anastomosis, resulting mediastinitis and esophago-tracheal fistula. In two patients re-thoracoscopy and ligation of the thoracic duct was performed because of chylothorax refractory for conservative treatment. CONCLUSIONS: According to our observation the minimal invasive esophageal resection resulted in comparable oncological results with relevant reduction of mortality and morbidity compared to the open procedure. After procedures performed with ventilated lung further reduction of pulmonary complication was found. In case of tumors infiltrating the tracheal or the aortic wall, thoracotomy should be considered to explore the thoracic cavity and to carry out the dissection, if it is possible. Our results should be reinforced because of low number of patients.

RESUMO

The treatment possibilities of broncho-pleural fistula (BPF) caused by necrotizing pneumonia (NP) are discussed based on the experiences of a case and on the basis of the literature. In case of pleural fluid caused by NP the importance of thoracic drainage and--in selected cases--video assisted thoracoscopy (VATS) are emphasized. If BPF develops and the oxygen saturation in the blood can not be kept on acceptable level because of the large volume of the lost air through the fistula bronchoscopic occlusion of the bronchus leading to the BPF is recommended. In conservative therapy resistant cases thoracotomy can be indicated.
