[Magnetic therapy in treatment of patients with leg ulcers]. / Magnitoterapiia v lechenii bol'nykh s troficheskimi iazvami nizhnikh konechnostei.

Various magnetic (continuous current, alternating current and "running" impulse) fields were applied in 74 patients with trophic ulcers of lower limbs. 10-12 days after the beginning of the magnetic therapy wound surface has completely cleaned from necrotic tissues, surrounding inflammatory changes eliminated, epithelization of the wounds began. The most pronounced clinical effect was observed after the use of "running" impulse of magnetic field.

[Use of magnetic therapy combined with galvanization and tissue electrophoresis in the treatment of trophic ulcers]. / Ispolzovanie magnitoterapii v sochetanii s galvanizatsiei i vnutritkanevym élektroforezom v lechenii troficheskikh iazv.

The results of treatment of 86 patients with the use of magnetotherapy in combination with galvanization and intratissue electrophoresis are presented. To create an electric field, the "Potok-1" apparatus with a density of current equal to 0.05-0.1 mA/cm2 was employed. Simultaneously, the "MAG-30" apparatus for low-frequency magnetotherapy with induction of 30 mT and area of exposure of 20 cm2 was applied to a trophic ulcer site. The use of magnetogalvanotherapy in the complex of treatment of trophic ulcers of the lower extremities is recommended.

[The efficacy of interstitial electrophoresis in treating trophic ulcers of the lower extremities]. / Effektivnost' vnutritkanevogo élektroforeza pri lechenii troficheskikh iazv nizhnikh konechnostei.

A clinico-laboratory study revealed the efficiency of intratissue electrophoresis of drugs in the complex treatment of patients with trophic ulcer of the lower extremities. This is related to the favourable effect of the electromagnetic field on the lesion focus and possibility to increase the concentration of drugs in the inflammation focus.

[The use of the zonal electrophoresis of antibiotics in acute destructive cholecystitis complicated by suppurative cholangitis]. / Ispol'zovanie zonal'nogo élektroforeza antibiotikov pri ostrom destruktivnom kholetsistite, oslozhnennom gnoinym kholangitom.

At experimental investigations on 38 adult dogs for studying pharmacokinetics of kanamycin in the bile and liver tissue under the influence of the electric field of constant current, the increase in concentration of the preparation as compared with that in the control group was established. Optimal concentration of kanamycin retained for 14-16 h. Clinical study has shown the high effectiveness of the method for treatment of acute cholangitis suggested.

[Our modification of plastic repair in hiatal hernia]. / Nasha modifikatsiia plastiki pri gryzhe pishchevodnogo otverstiia diafragmy.

The article presents data of 78 patients with hiatal hernias. Surgical treatment was used in 71 of them. A method of plasty is proposed which was used in 55 patients. An analysis of immediate and remote results has shown that the method proposed is highly radical and allows obtaining good clinical effects.

[Treatment of complicated forms of paronychia by using the electrophoresis of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial preparations]. / Lechenie oslozhnennykh form panaritsiia s ispol'zovaniem élektroforeza protivovospalitel'nykh i antimikrobnykh preparatov.

The work presents an analysis of treatment of patients with complicated forms of panaritium. To increase the efficiency of treatment the authors used certain physical factors, in particular, direct electric current--interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis of antimicrobial and antiinflammatory agents in complex therapy. The investigation of results of the treatment shows sufficiently high efficiency of the interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis. The time of treatment of patients with complicated forms of panaritium became 2 times shorter.

[Treatment of suppurative mastitis using laser irradiation and continuous electric current]. / Lechenie gnoinogo mastita s ispol'zovaniem lazernogo izlucheniia i postoiannogo élektricheskogo toka.

Laser radiation and direct electric current were used in the complex therapy of acute suppurative mastitis. The wound cavity was treated by a focussed laser till the appearance of a coagulation crust followed by galvanization of the mammary gland. Such an approach to the associated application of the laser radiation and electric field of direct current is justified pathogenetically and increases the efficiency of treatment of suppurative mastitis.
