Measurements of plasma potential in high-pressure microwave plasmas.

Plasma potential of a high-pressure ( approximately 1 Torr) microwave-generated argon plasma is measured using a Langmuir probe and a cold emissive probe. The operation of a hot emissive probe in a high-pressure plasma has been very difficult due to frequent burn-outs and significantly reduced lifetime of the probe filament, which, in turn, limits the possibility of collecting a wide range of data. The I-V characteristics from both Langmuir and emissive probes are interpreted using the collisionless probe theory since the collision correction factor is not very significant. The plasma potential determined from both Langmuir and cold emissive probe characteristics agrees well with one another and is observed to be dependent on the operating gas pressure but relatively unchanged as a function of the microwave power. An average plasma potential determined over the operating range of microwave powers varies nonlinearly with the gas pressure.

[Clinical symptoms, pathopsychological peculiarities and mechanisms of biographic amnesia]. / O klinicheskikh simptomakh, patopsikhologicheskikh proiavleniiakh i mekhanizmakh razvitiia biograficheskoi amnezii.

Clinical and pathopsychological analysis of 16 men, aged 15-53 years, was carried out. In premorbid stage, hysterical, hystero-epileptoid, schizoid, emotional-unstable features were found in 12 patients and personality accentuation--in 4 patients. There were the absence of marked cognitive disturbances and safety operational functions of intellect, i.e. memory. In all patients, the projective pathopsychological tests allowed determining subjectively significant disturbances of interpersonal communication that, in combination with selective character of amnesia and intact character of formal intellect, suggested functional mechanisms underlying the analyzing state.

[Assessment of total complement activity of blood plasma (serum) using reader for immunoenzyme analysis]. / Otsenka obshchei komplementarnoi aktivnosti plazmy (syvorotki) krovi na ridere dlia immunofermentnogo analiza.

A method for instrumental assessment of the total complementary activity of human blood plasma (serum) by the classical and alternative activation is proposed. The test is carried out by the micromethod in round-bottom 96-well plates for immunological tests. The results are read by automated analyzer for enzyme immunoassay recording at 405 nm wavelength.
