RESUMO

Hemodynamics, coronary circulation, electric activity and morphologic changes of the heart were investigated in 150 rabbits after their extended adaptation to high altitude hypoxia and during readaptation. It was found that changes in the contractile function of the hypertrophied heart, which developed as a result of moderate hypertrophy and isotonic hyperfunction of the left ventricle and marked hypertrophy and isometric hyperfunction of the right ventricle during prolonged adaptation to hypoxia, recovered within 15-30 days after hypoxia exposure was discontinued.

RESUMO

A number of cardiotropic preparations (verapamil, obsidan, pyroxan) were studied in glycerinated fibres (GF) in the experiments on rats during five twenty four hours after ligation of coronary artery. Their ability in different degree to preserve cardiomyocyte contractile fibers from the injury of ischemic processes is revealed. Positive influence of antianginal therapy was also confirmed in the experiments with coronary artery ligation on awake animals, and in experiments on the identification of actomyosin complex components.

RESUMO

The antihypertensive effect of finoptin (verapamil) and corinfar (nifedipin) and their impact on the hemodynamics and the repolarization complex of the ECG were studied in 52 patients with essential hypertension and 48 patients with secondary arterial hypertension. The calcium antagonists were found to effectively decrease the blood pressure by reducing the peripheral resistance. Verapamil may be recommended for the monotherapy of mild and moderate forms of arterial hypertension, whereas corinfar should be used in cases of marked hypertension and at the third stage of therapy. Patients with electrocardiographic signs of myocardial ischemia show the normalization of the ST segment and a decreased depression of T wave under the impact of corinfar.

RESUMO

Comparison of the electrocardiographic characteristics of hypertrophy of the ventricular myocardium with the hemodynamic indices of systemic and pulmonary circulation and the indices of intracardiac hemodynamics provides testimony to the significance of the hemodynamic factor in the genesis of the electrophysiological changes. With due account for the role of the morphologic factor, these data allow the essence of myocardial hypertrophy to be placed in the electrophysiologic, hemodynamic, and morphologic category.
