[New approaches in the treatment of high intra-articular fractures of the mandibular condylar process]. / Novye podkhody v lechenii vysokikh vnutrisustavnykh perelomov myshchelkovogo otrostka nizhnei cheliusti.

This paper presents treatment experience obtained upon 7 patients studied case of mandible condylar process high intra-articular fractures accompanied by the dislocation of the articular head. To reach dislocated head the osteotomy of hinder border ramus mandible together with the condylar process neck was carried out. And the latter was rewomed form the wound. After that the extraction of all the head itself followed. A side the wound the osteosynthesis with the help of titanium bone screws and miniplates was conducted. Then the fragment of ascending ramus mandible with attached mandible condylar condylar process head was replanted into the wound. High immediate and late results (followed up for 18 months) demonstrate the potential efficiency of the proposed method.

[The use of titanium mesh plates for graft fixation in mandibular osteoplasty]. / Ispol'zovanie setchatykh titanovykh plastin dlia fiksatsii transplantatov pri kostnoi plastike nizhnei cheliusti.

Opportunities of the use of mesh titanium plates as fixing devices are considered at reconstruction operations. Data of following up 8 patients with defects of the mandible of various location and extent are analysed. They were operated with reconstruction of the mandible with iliac graft and bone graft fixing with the mesh titanium plates. A technique of the operations is described, a case of successful use of mesh titanium implant modelled by the form of the mandible in repair of the mandible defect. The analysis of long-term results shows the potential efficiency of the use of mesh titanium plates as fixing adaptations in bone plastic operations.

[The comprehensive assessment of studies of the microbiological and cytological indices of the implant-epithelial area]. / Kompleksnaia otsenka issledovanii mikrobiologicheskikh i tsitologicheskikh pokazatelei implantoépitelial'noi zony.

Microbiological and cytological study of the subgingival deposit at the site of introduction of intraosseous cylindrical nickelide-titanium dental implants and comparison of the findings with similar values for the adjacent teeth showed that such studies help assess the status of the implant-epithelial zone.

The authors analyze the efficacy of repair of atrophied [correction of arthrophic] alveolar processes of the jaws in the projections of the maxillary sinus and inferior alveolar canal with endosseous implants with porous cone-dilating mesostructure made of TN-1P alloy. Prospects for using the new implant design are outlined.

[The clinical value of the middle-molecule metabolite index in assessing the severity of the intoxication syndrome in patients with maxillofacial phlegmons]. / Klinicheskaia tsennost' pokazatelia metabolitov srednei molekuliarnoi massy v otsenke tiazhesti intoksikatsionnogo sindroma u bol'nykh s flegmonami cheliustno-litsevoi oblasti.

A total of 74 patients with maxillofacial phlegmons were followed up. The examinations have revealed a relationship between the severity of the intoxication syndrome and signs of a local inflammatory process, on the one hand, and peripheral blood leukocyte count, leukocytic index of intoxication, and level of medium molecular mass metabolites, on the other. The latter index was the most objective indicator of the severity of the body intoxication. The authors claim that this index may become a valuable diagnostic test in the assessment of body intoxication in patients with maxillofacial assessment of body intoxication in patients with maxillofacial inflammatory processes, of the time course of these processes, of the treatment efficacy and prediction of their outcome.
