[Significance of vascular structure and regional hemodynamics in the surgical treatment of hand dysgenesis in children]. / Znachenie sosudistoi arkhitektoniki i regional'noi gemodinamiki pri khirurgicheskom lechenii porokov razvitiia kisti u detei.

The analysis of 195 angiographies of 130 patients with different kind of had dysontogenesis has been made. The age of patients was between 1 and 15 years old. The author believes that the anomalous hand has a deficit of the blood supply. It may cause some negative impacts on the result of a surgery (17 cases of 442 surgical procedures). The author recommends to pay attention to the abnormal vascular structure and peripheral hemodynamic during surgery.

[The concept of the surgical treatment of ectrodactyly in children]. / Kontseptsiia khirurgicheskogo lecheniia éktrodaktilii u detei.

The author presents his view on the problem of treatment of ectrodactyly on the basis of his experience with treatment of 159 children with this complex pathology. 1211 plastic and reconstructive operations were made on these patients. Results of the treatment were followed up during 14 years. A critical analysis is given in the light of long-term results of using the methods of recovery of under-developed fingers. The succession of the elimination of the hand defects giving favorable results in most patients is considered. Attention is given to inexpedient operative treatment of certain malformations of toes not influencing the foot function.

[Brachydactyly of the hand]. / Brakhidaktiliia kisti.

The author has analyzed 54 patients aged from 9 months till 14 years with one of the types of congenital underdevelopment of fingers-brachydactyly. This form of the congenital pathology of the hand is concretized, the X-ray and clinical picture of brachydactyly is analyzed and more exact classification of this pathology is given. The state of blood supply, innervation and histological structure of the abnormal hand tissues are studied. Methods of treatment are determined.

[Repair of posttraumatic hand defects in children]. / Distraktsiia posttravmaticheskogo defekta kisti u detei.

The experience with the use of a method of distraction for reconstruction of 98 digits in 37 patients with amputation defects has been summarized. Lengthening of the digits by 3-7 cm was achieved. This permitted to improve considerably the function and cosmetic appearance of a damaged hand.

[Functional treatment of uncomplicated extension transcondylar fractures of the humerus in children]. / Funktsional'noe lechenie neoslozhnennykh razgibatel'nykh chrezmyshchelkovykh perelomov plechevoi kosti u detei.

In the article is summarized experience of early functional treatment of children with extension trans-condyle fractures of humerus proposed by the authors. The proposed method allows to achieve complete restoration of the damaged elbow joint function in 40 +/- 2 days after the fracture reposition and to obtain excellent functional results with 85% of patients.

[Restorative treatment of blast injuries of the hand in children]. / Vosstanovitel'noe lechenie kisti u detei posle vzryvnykh ranenii.

The experience of surgical treatment of children with the most grave hand injuries is presented. The authors consider that the restorative treatment is to begin from the moment of initial surgical processing of the explosive hand injuries. Three periods of treatment have been singled out. Each of them has its own objects and tasks. Logical combination of surgical treatment stages allows for maximum restoration of form and function of an injured hand during the shortest possible time and with the minimum losses for a patient.

[Histological features of interdigital muscles in lengthening of underdeveloped fingers in children]. / Gistologicheskie osobennosti mezhpal'tsevykh myshts pri udlinenii nedorazvitoi kisti u detei.

There has been carried out histologic examination of vermicular and interosseal muscles in case of underdevelopment of fingers before and after the restoration of their length by method of distraction in 45 children aged 4-14 years. There has been stated that in case of congenital finger underdevelopment the hand muscles are subjected to hypoplasia. However they are endowed with high ability of regeneration and restore their structure in response to distraction after adequate regenerative changes.

[Aplasia of the radius of the hand]. / Aplaziia luchei kisti.

In the article is described the congenital pathology of the hand, characterized by the absence of one or several fingers with the corresponding metacarpal bones and bones of the wrist. There is given the clinical picture of 104 patients with the hand radius aplasia. There are singled out main forms of pathology, presented the data of the additional investigation methods (angiography, rheovasography, histologic structure of the affected hand tissues). There are presented the main principles of the hand radius aplasia treatment.

[Histologic characteristics of the tendons after lengthening of hypoplastic fingers in children]. / Gistologicheskaia kharakteristika sukhozhilii pri udlinenii nedorazvitykh pal'tsev kisti u detei.

A histologic study of the tendons of hypoplastic fingers before and after the restoration of their length by the method of distraction has been performed in 37 children aged 1 to 14 years. It has been established that in congenital defects of development of the hand the tendons of the hypoplastic fingers have an organotypical structure differing only in thinning of the facieles of ascending order. In the process of distraction of the rudiments of the hypoplastic fingers there is lengthening of the tendons with violation of the specialized structures. However, these changes are temporary and reversible, and in future both the function and the organotypical structure of the tendons are restored.
