RESUMO

The dynamics of morphologic and biochemical indices of the thyroid gland in puberal rats has been considered. The data obtained suggest that the thymus hormones deficiency in blood circulation after thymectomy affect thyroid-stimulating functions of adenopituitary and thyroliberin production in hypothalamus that results in significant depression of thyroid function, whereas the enhancement of thyroid function to 20-month follow-up has no central genesis but is rather a result of autoimmune processes activation when thymus is removed.

RESUMO

Morphological changes of the thyroid in non-inbred albino rats were analysed using a complex of histochemical methods. These data show the depression of functional activity against a background of primary immunodeficiency induced by neonatala thymectomy.

RESUMO

The time course of structural and functional changes in the parotid and submaxillary salivary glands after neonatal thymectomy was considered. A combination of various methods including histological, histochemical, cytophotometric ones and transmission electron microscopy, was employed. They showed that neonatal thymectomy resulted in an increase in secretory activity of the salivary glands and was followed by hemolymphodynamic disorders and lymphoplasmocytic infiltration.

RESUMO

The dynamics of morphological, enzymatic and immunologic salivary glands indices in pubertal rates was investigated after thymectomy. The data obtained analysis demonstrated the functional salivary glands reconstruction, having immunologic and secretory characteristics: stimulation of the humoral and cellular immunity factors; reduction of the albuminous and rise of the mucous salivary glands component represented the remote effect of thymectomy /3 months]. Activation of the salivary glands immune characteristics may be explained by their belonging to the thymic-peripharyngeal complex.

RESUMO

Prophylactic and therapeutic administration of pyrasol derivatives butadion and stampyrine (antipyrilamide of stearic acid), to rats with adjuvant polyarthritis normalize the structure of the synovial membrane, capsule and of the periarticular tissue of the talocrural articulations, stabilize the proteinic-mucopolysaccharide complexes, lower the permeability of the lysosome membranes and vascular walls and inhibit the phagocystic activity of the histiocytes. Both drugs do not lessen the proliferation of the fibroblasts, but normalize the processes of the collagenogenesis them. The prophylactic and therapeutic effects of stampyrine are superior to those of butadion.

RESUMO

Histochemical changes in the heart, liver and kidneys and ultrastructural disorders in cardiomyocytes were studied in 40 white rats with adjuvant disease. Mucoid lesions, hydropyc dystrophy and necribiosis of muscle cells developed in the heart, diffuse extra-intracapillary glomerulonephritis in combination with nephrosis in the kidneys. In the liver, dyscomplexation of hepatic trabeculas, distention of perisinusoidal spaces were observed; in hepatocytes, the processes of protein synthesis were activated, and signs of hydropyc dystrophy and necrobiosis developed. The activity of enzymes of the aerobic phase of energetic metabolism was reduced and that of lactate dehydrogenase and acid phosphatase increased in cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes, and epithelium of convoluted tubules of the kidneys. Mitochondria of cardiomyocytes were swollen, myofibrilles fragmented.

RESUMO

Immunization of rabbits with increasing doses of Cl. botulinum toxoid, type B, led to the development in the kidneys of a focal intracapillary productive glomerulonephritis, and also of productive endo- and perivasculites. Blood letting (in the amount of 1% of body weight) aggravated the morphological picture of the affection on account of supervention of the alternative and exudative components. At the same time blood letting led to reduction of the NAD-diaphorase, succinic dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphatase activity in the epithelium of the proximal portions of the nephrons.

RESUMO

The effect of alcoholic typhoid vaccine and of the cultural vaccine against the tickborne encephalitis on the adrenocortical secretion in guinea pigs was studied. Functional condition of the adrenal glands was assessed histochemically. Immunization was accompanied by increase in the activity of the adrenal cortex, the most pronounced the first 3 days. Comparative analysis showed that typhoid vaccine produced a more pronounced stree on the adrenal gland function.
